    D&D 5E My ideal D&D product model

I was referring more to situations where Sir Isteval keeps popping up, or the Red Wizards show up when you may not expect them. Minor things that keep the world connected from campaign to campaign.

    D&D 5E My ideal D&D product model

How would such a model allow for recurring themes, plot threads, extra side quests, easter eggs, or advancing story lines? Or do you not think those are important in a published setting? One thing I've been enjoying is how little things keep reappearing across the modules even from when DND...

    Crtitique my Pharmacist?

I've made a few changes, but I don't understand your concerns about item creation. This class is specifically for item creation, and its not generic item creation rules for all classes for all items. Just the medicines needed for this class to serve its function in the world. The items should...

    Crtitique my Pharmacist?

That was the original name I gave it, and the table kept teasing our Dwarf that she was a walking pharmacy. :) The name itself comes from the 14th century. http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=pharmacy

[UPDATED AGAIN!] SOUTHLANDS HEROES - New Character Options for D&D From The Folks Who Made TYRANNY O

Is the Circle of the Swarm anything like the Circle of the Swarm homebrew classes going around? http://community.wizards.com/forum/product-and-general-dd-discussions/threads/4170241 http://nerdarchy.com/2015/05/circle-swarm-dungeons-dragons-custom-circle-druid-5th-editon/ Getting swarmed by...

    Crtitique my Pharmacist?

Thanks for your input. A few things. 1. A censer is not a weapon. It's a container which holds incense. You could use is it as an improvised weapon. For the pharmacist, its the means of delivering incense prepared recipes to their target. 2. The pharmacist is intended as a support class...

    Pharmacist Class

The purpose of the class is for a non-magic user who uses knowledge of animals, herbs and plants to concoct poisons and healing cures. It replicates the spells as naturalistic equivalent, but its not actually casting spells, so a subclass of anything won't really fit. I'm really mostly curious...

New D&D Monthly Survey: Mystics & Psionics

Was I the only one who thought that the comment about merging the Shaman, Artificer, and Alchemist into one class was just meant to be a fun joke? As for the concern of arbitrary limits on crafted items, for the pharmacist class I did the following: 1. Items made with an alchemy table last...

New D&D Monthly Survey: Mystics & Psionics

Lots of different versions of the alchemists. I wonder if they will ask which one people want. My theory is that the desire for the alchemists is based on unhappiness with current item creation rules.

D&D 5E Is "Mystic" a bad class name?

I see no reason for that to happen. If a mystic can cast fireball without needing VSM, it can cast fireball , and its a spell. There is no reason to say that its a non-magical fireball. Seems a really clean and easy to handle rule without any need for checking the details of spells or...

D&D 5E Is "Mystic" a bad class name?

Is the point of the conversation to say that the UA article does it wrong, or just to ignore the UA article? I must have skipped a crucial page that would clarify that.

D&D 5E Is "Mystic" a bad class name?

Nothing has to be marked as "spell equivalent" or not. If the psionic ability allows you to cast a spell from the prexisting spell lists, then it counts as magic, even if it was created with psionic abilities. Its how the class is currently set up to work.

D&D 5E What is the most powerful class for each Module/AP?

I saw the thread about what the most powerful class is, and I agree that out in the void, no class really stands out as being way above all the others. However, I'm wondering if that is also true for each of the modules released so far. That is, which race/class combination would be the most...

D&D 5E Is "Mystic" a bad class name?

I might have missed part of the conversation, but in the UA article, it says that pisonics is NOT magic and is not affected by dispel magic etc, EXCEPT when the psionic ability directly copies a spell, or the psionic ability allows one to cast a spell. Seems like a good compromise to me.
