Open lock & Disable Device Nessecary?

In a campaign I'm playing in there is a rogue (with the trapfinding/disabling abilities) but from a player who is often not there. I'm playing a sorcerer and I decided to use a few (lesser) spells known to substitute him as best I can. It's amazing what you can do with an unseen servant dragging...

D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Speak to me of the Spellthief

The above mentionted guides are fine but do go in on powerhousing with master spellthieft to much in my oppinion. I've played two spellthiefes (one was basic, the other full of ACF's and odd feats). The spellthief is a decent class but only if your DM throws some spellcasters at you with some...

    Master spellthief

Ah but then you have to look at the poorly written master spellthief more closely. It says: '...your Spellthief and arcane spellcaster levels stack when determining your caster level for all arcane spells'. Which means you add your spellthief level, not CL lvl (7 in the example) to any arcane...

    Sorcerer spell selection

Nowhere in the sorcerers description does it state that it can burn higher lvl spellslots on lower lvl spells. So by RAW you probably can't (unless this has been specified somewhere else). You could make a houserule though, and personnaly I wouldn't up the casting time for it. Worse enough that...

    Master spellthief

Hmm, I see your point and I will not deny it, however I disagree with you that prestige classes that add to spell progression do NOT count as arcane casting classes. However I'm not going to debate you on this, as many have done before us allready. I'm not at all commited to daggerspell mage...

    Master spellthief

Hey peoples, I've got a spellthief build that I'm tweaking for an upcoming campaign and I could use some help with the math because of the master spellthief feat. I know there's lots of threads about this feat allready but they mostly talk about completely abusing it to get truly insane CL's. I...

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 flying castle.

The stronghold builders guidebook (allthough 3.0) has rules for creating a castle in the sky among other things. Includes cost, CL etc. Just a magic item ish. To make your castle fly just pay 15k according to the book. If your gonna build a city with castles, this book is defenitly worth a look.

Help me survive a twink's campaign

Meh, just get as many players as you can get to play 5th lvl clerics. An entire party of clerics is strong enough to bash through ANYTHING! Their weakest point would be stealth and traps and by the sounds of it your DM isn't going to through a lot of that stuff against you.

Looking for a feat for a lich

As far as i know there is no such feat. There is unholy toughness which does that which is a special quality found in both mm3 and libris mortis. and there is mind over body from players guide to faerun which is a feat and says you can use your int or cha instead of your con for hitpoints but...

    Corrupt Spell Metamagic Feat

I see what you mean. In CD it also states: one of your spells. But it does this in the short description not in the actual benefits bit. I do agree that in the benefit bit it's still pretty poorly written but that's most likely because they ctrl-c'ed the BoVD one and changed the wording slightly...

D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Bard: what enables him to assemble a team?

Easy thing is just to have skills like gather info but if you actually want something specific that other heralds might not have done how about: undetectable alignment and disguise self. You aproach them first as the herald and get them for the job if they seem honest and worthy enough. Then...

    Tamer of Beasts

About the player not having up to date character sheets, you should really ask him to update each time or if he doesn't have the time tell him to play with his unleveled character. There's a guy I play with on a somewhat regular basis that does the same thing. I know him reasonably well so I had...

    Corrupt Spell Metamagic Feat

I'dd just go with the Complete Divine one. It's probably just the updated version of the one in Vile Darkness. Seems rather weak if you had to take the feat again for each spell. +1 lvl is a good setback for it's benefits.

    Looking for a spell again

Yup: INVOKE THE CERULEAN SIGN is a low lvl but good scaling anti abberation spell. It depends an their HD versus your CL for what effect, so if your fighting hordes of weak ones, it could be a great one. If you extend it, each effect lasts 2 rounds aswell! For the cleric spell: blade barrier?

    Tamer of Beasts

Yes. Never heard of it, and I would NEVER allow it. Looks like someone tried to get around jumping through hoops playing a dual-caster. Let whoever came up with the feat show his source. (it could maybe be some obscure dragonprinted feat).

    need help creating assassins ritual

Well to think of a good ceremony you first have to decide what it is that the ceremony is suppost to symbolize. Perhaps your adsassins guild has some tenets that you could use. Perhaps it's a show of loyalty. Or some connection with a divinity. Some ideas: - Have the initiate sign a contract...

Hmm, what about duskblade? Likes melee and casts some spells. It also likes your strength and constitution.

    Dreadnecromancer martial weapon

Hmm, thinaun is pretty cool! (complete warrior p136) But the scythe is to much of a cliche in my eyes, I want to try getting him to be more subtle. But I think I just have to accept that most of the 'cool' weapons are exotic.

    Dreadnecromancer martial weapon

Ok, I looked up harpoon and that thing is pretty sick. However it is also an exotic weapon, not martial. But I do like the idea of something with lots of little rules and sidethings, makes it more usefull.
