    Who murdered Gleemax ??

you have to use the "doubt" power to cripple people and disarm them of their power through their faith :p

    Who murdered Gleemax ??

Except it doesn't really help anyone, since its as informative as the color of the sky, and just adds meaningless pages to forum threads. Its the little brother of out and out misinformation, and it doesn't have any use but to annoy people or make them feel embarrassed. There are no stupid...

    Balance implications of Cheaper Multiclassing?

Its probably due to wanting to keep cheese creations from being born. There's still lots of viability, and if you take tehe acolyte, adept, and novice, you can go further up the second class power ladder with no additional feat costs, which in itself would mean you could synergize some pretty...

    Gandalf

Servent of the fire, not servant of Iluvatar.. He serves life, not the deity that produced it..

Misty step. How far do you go?

ok. I didnt want to take that as some implied ruling on distance if there was something in another place that said something definitive on mist step. for all I knew, it could've meant take 3 squaer as free action, while misty step itself as a full standard action could be stronger by 2+ points...

Misty step. How far do you go?

thanks. Is there an particular page in any book where this is made clear?

Misty step. How far do you go?

The PHB isnt clear. Im going to multiclass later, and I'm not sure how far it allows you to teleport.

    Gandalf

gandalf wasnt fighting for some deity, I'd say warlord/wizard at the most. I mean come on, the wizard of D&D draws a lot of its influence over the course of D&Ds lifespan from tolkien.

Delaying, and effects that end on your enemy's turn

It might be helpful if anyone's played tactical RPGs via consoles or computers before. It runs very similar. Initiatives: Monster A = 19 PC A = 16 If the PC is blinded until the end of the monsters turn, the PC could simply delay until the monsters turn come and goes, thus allowing the effect...

    Two questions.

I suppose my reason for bringing up the mark issue, apart from the fact that it was a bit ambiguous, is that if you look at combat challenge for fighters, and divine challenge for paladins, they run like this: DCh = -2 penalty to hit, and first time it attacks something else that isnt you, who...

    Two questions.

Marks, divine challenge, etc. each class has its own version of marking the target, and a question was brought up as to whether marks can be made by characters of different classes without affecting those put on by another class, like say, divine challenge. So, can marks from different classes...

    Avenger, the headache class?

Exactly. A defender makes the choice of enemies into "attack me or suffer consequences". An Avenger makes the choice of enemies into "stay away from me or suffer the conequences, unless you're the one that will get damaged by moving away from me". I'd think thats a perfect thing for a striker...

D&D 4E Updating Tomb of Horrors to 4e...and 4e seems to wussy.

Well, because a person doesnt have 1e books, or perhaps they just started 4e? If ToH can be made the same in 4e as 1e as you say it can, then why not play it in 4e? Why not play it in 1e? Then its only a question of preference. Otherwise, if it can be made the same, where's the issue?

    Dealing with talk monkeys

Well I consider that the warlock's player having chosen to speak is in itself controlling what the PC does. I think it is up to the player whether a DC succeeds or fails, based on how well they play out their DC, with eloquent words, or good intimidating words, etc. But I can see how it may...

    Dealing with talk monkeys

I disagree. The whole point of "SKILLS", is that they are trained that a person is good at. Just because its a roll doesnt make it "LUCK" within the game itself. Its luck at the table, NOT in the game. The roll of a die, whether lucky (good roll) or unlucky, doesn't make something in the game...

    To create a Drow Paladin

thanks. I had a feeling towards that, because I couldnt conclusively reason that a 2h would be less powerful as the phb says, other than having the obviously large damage dump per a single attack if you hit with a holy strike or so with a 2h. settled on greataxe and 16 10 10 11 14 17 stats...

    To create a Drow Paladin

So I got stats 16 10 10 11 18 with point buy (and +2 dex, cha). I haven't yet figured out if I want to do two hand weapons or 1h + shield. Are these beginning stats good for either, or does it lean towards one type? I think I will take the charisma at wills (they worked very nice on my last 2h...

    Adent Champion. Rules lawyers required

I think it does allow you to hit with a critical hit rolling doubles, and double 1 is always miss. wouldnt expect less from a PP power. its not like that increases its chance of hitting so much anyway, from 4% to 5-6% or something? Might as well take it RAW/RAR
