    D&D 5E What If?

Well, this will be just arbitrary.... but what if: -taking away one thing and giving it to another (+1 attack -1 damage) requires a total of 2 prof. points. taking away 2 and giving 2 would amount to 4 prof. points and so on; -changing one weapon property (increased critical range in example)...

D&D 5E Breaking down the Fighter archetypes.

I'm not sure i'd chose the 4E Warlord as a direct counterpart to the 5E Battle master either (though some roles seam to have been transferred), but for different reasons. But first thing first.... I actually see the "Know your enemy" and "Student of War" features and the "evasive footwork"...

    D&D 5E What If?

Nah, i wouldn't mind magic integrated into this at all. As long as it's still contained in some way. Like requiring a pretty high level of experience in crafting the thing :D

D&D 5E Superiority dice on critical hits

Thanks guys. I know the wording on most maneuvers says "when you hit", but still want to hear your (as many as possible) opinions and interpretations about it :)

D&D 5E Superiority dice on critical hits

I am pretty sure this was discussed already as part of other topics, but i may need it as a reference point..... When a warmaster rolls a natural 20, does he/she rolls all the damage dice twice including the superiority die? Or only the weapon die/dice? IS this precisely worded? Or does it have...

    D&D 5E What If?

How about a PC with proficiency in blacksmith tools can modify weapons? Add properties or stats in one respect at the cost of others? Like, increase the critical range, but the weapon must now be used in two hands if it was originally made for one? Or you get +1 to hit, as you've made it lighter...

D&D 5E Breaking down the Fighter archetypes.

Personally i quite like the 5E fighters/warriors. There seams to be a bit of many things for everyone in them, and all that is wrapped up in a neat package that allows for lots of flexibility and customization in regards to multi classing or background/skill choices. I haven't been compelled to...

D&D 5E Dice- Rankings, Guide, Ruminations, Poll

Me thinks it has a lot of ether! :D

D&D 5E Dice- Rankings, Guide, Ruminations, Poll

This! Though i voted d20 and d4.... :P And i actually surprised myself for doing so. Decades ago, before i ever lifted anything other then a d6 in anger, when i made platonic solids for fun.... if you asked me what my favorite solid was, i would have yelled dodecahedron and died fighting...

D&D 5E Why do you multiclass?

Looks like an interesting concept. I would surely like to see how your PC will progress over time. One of my favorite features of the original Justifier concept was the tactical advantage: "Tactical Advantage: This ability allows the Justifier and his companions to gain a combat advantage by...

D&D 5E Post your 5e NPCs here, for all to enjoy

Here is a pet of mine: Sharp Teeth Scout A sharp grizzled man, clad in brown and green. Armed and armored in a bit unconventional way, but still recognizably part of the forest patrol. Human, Lawful Good lvl3 Str 17 Dex 15 Con 17 Int 13 Wis 16 Cha 8 Rolled (16,16,16,14,12,7) HP 22 + 1d8+3...

    D&D 5E Explainable multiclassing

I pretty much agree with the entire post, except that i sort of have an alternative interpretation for the 1st level. You see, as it makes no sense at all to me that years of practice accumulate to lvl 1 adventurer, but the local militia is composed of lvl3 guards, the marshal's deputies are lvl...

D&D 5E Why do you multiclass?

Count me among the ones that don't think the system is broken. Not on its own at least. Also, the reason why no more then 1 or 2 extra classes are needed for a "conceptual" PC, in my opinion, lies with the fact that most of the classes are pretty broad by them selves. Thus the few flavors we...

D&D 5E The 11th level of the Warriors Classes

I'm not a big fan of the casting with my PC being all gung-ho, fighting in the thickest against multiple enemies at once (hence the horde breaker). Also being all scout-y and sneaky agent like, i'd really like to get to the "know your enemy" feature. Has anyone ever used this in conjunction with...

D&D 5E The 11th level of the Warriors Classes

What do you guys make of an MC fighter (war master) lvl 6, ranger (horde breaker) lvl 4? How would you progress it past lvl 10?

    D&D 5E Spell less Ranger

    Yeah, my thinking exactly :D
  17. TheLoneRanger1979

    D&D 5E Explainable multiclassing

Pretty much the way i see it. Besides, even from a mechanical POV it makes sense to MC. The requirements for MC are generally scores of 13 in 1 or 2 of the relevant stats. That by default assumes a character naturally gifted a good deal beyond the average commoner's 10. It's true, it works...

D&D 5E DM Quits The Game

I feel for you man. Unfortunately, there is no easy way around it. Sometimes the GM and the group are just not compatible. Sometimes the DM is too rigid when the group wants or need to be creative and just plain enjoy making up stuff. Other times, the DM is too leeway friendly, when the group...

    D&D 5E Spell less Ranger

I agree on the lvl5. PA could easily go to lvl6. Personally, i was a bit afraid of trading favored enemy for something more useful, because the class already seams strong. Which sort of leads me to your last comment. This was an "alpha build". I never got the chance to test it with my DM. If...
