Sorry if this has been posted before... my Canadian Amazon is showing October 21st, 2008 for all three core books: Deluxe Editions?!? List price CND is 97.00? What material is going to be in that that's not in my cheapo one in June. AHHHHHH. Christmas retail strategy at its best :-(

Since my teens and their friends are really just starting out (three or four sessions in) I think this is a great solution. They will probably want to keep similar characters and so the conversion "thematically instead of mechanically" is fine.

Early days I know but it seems we know a fair bit pre-launch; has anyone figured out a nice stream lined way to convert to 4.0? Or if a thread already deals with this? Background to my question: My players just started 3.5e and are excited for 4e yet they don't want to lose their characters...

Xill; yummy Stun Jelly; some Slaad; NYCADAEMON! FTW becuase it makes a nice figure; Mephit... again, a nice figure. The Nobel Lamia might make too nice of a figure. Kuo Toa... duh. Grimlock... yup, figure; Ettercap... fig. DEATH DOG again FTW. WHY? Yup there are all non mechanic choices, but...

This is awesome because I just started running the adventure. The party is with Meepo and did a "pass" on the fight... now they are after the dragon. If this pans out they may be able to do the last part as late 2nd or 3rd lvl. Great idea and for me, enormously helpful. BTW haven't played...

Wonderful... now how and I going to start converting... LOL
