    no doubt. i know what you mean. one of my old characters carried around a flute even though he wasn't a bard. just to add a little flavour for him. it just seemed weird to stat it out for an npc though. it didn't count as treasure (obviously, since they wouldn't let you kill him). at that point...

    Oddly enough, when they statted out Drizzt (Dungeon 171 or 172 I believe) they gave him a Holy Symbol for some reason. None of his powers triggered off it IIRC.

    MP2 review: Martial Practices

    For the most part they seem to cover a lot of the 3.5 skills that got cut. Craft, Survival, Gather Information, Decipher Script, Sleight of Hand, Handle Animal, Use Magic Device, they're all there. ... But where's my Use Rope practice?! I'm granting permanent CA because my bootlaces are undone.

    Oooh, I was just taking a gander through MP1 and remembered the Avalanche Hurler PP. With Marauder style, this PP looks a lot more appealing. Increased thrown dmg dice, some decent damaging powers, and an even better version of the Hunter style's quick draw? Seems pretty win.

    Thanks for the reply. I thought it was a little weird. Especially since many of the other Hunter-relevant powers encourage pelting them with a ranged shot and then staying in melee with them. It seems counter productive to get a bonus to damage or temp hit points for melee attacks if you have to...

    not entirely true. any of the "gain prime shot bonus with melee" feats + Called Shot (D368) still seems worth it for a constant +1 on attacks/+5 on damage, but then again, that doesn't happen until paragon.
