Don't they still own a couple of the settings from The Search a few years back? The one that resulted in Eberron. I think still have Rich Burlew's at least. I guess the decision comes down to whether or not their customers would rather have a new setting or a 4e version of Greyhawk, Dark Sun...

This is my favorite impression of RPGers, my wife. The fact that my wife loves D&D is one of the world's great mysteries. ;) More seriously, the biggest impression I have of RPGers in general, is that they like to have fun. Nerdy, Geeky, often strange fun, but fun.

We have 24 total in our group, and I tend to use the majority of them quite often. And yes, I would absolutely buy another 12 if given the chance, but not quite for what that auction is up to now. ;)

Not in 4e. The rock already made its (successful) attack roll. You CAN make a save vs. humiliation, but not until the end of your turn, and you have a 55% chance of succeeding. ;)

This poll makes my head hurt. What is it really trying to show us? I think what we're after is result like: If you prefer spellcasters you prefer 3e, and if you prefer non-spellcasters, you prefer 4e. Right? What's with the edition and class neutral options then?

I'm glad WotC finally published an article saying that RAW shouldn't be the primary focus. -AND- I'm saddened that WotC felt they had to publish an article like this. To me it means that there was a large enough base of DMs who felt like they had to sacrifice a good time in order to follow RAW.

I consider myself very lucky in regards to the tact-tiles. I have a 12-piece set and so does another member of my regular group. 24 tiles is amazing to have as a DM.

But pizza is delicious, and $15 in RPG books doesn't taste nearly as good. Trust me, I know um, a friend... who has tried!
