Huh???... Paizo has a page that goes up when they're having technical problems or need to shut down the site for some unexpected reason (like getting sued... I guess). This page is an anticipation builder. It's special and it's up for a specific reason. :uhoh:

Paizo wants a big hit at GenCon. Last year it was Pathfinder #1, this year it will be the Pathfinder Campain Setting, which will be largely systemless, and possibly the first issue of the third AP. Of course they can release products outside of GenCon, but saying that the smart decision is to...

I have suspicions that Paizo feels differently about GenCon than you do.

The poll has been up on Paizo's front page for months now.

How can you get the jump on the competition if WotC won't let you see the rules and the GSL? Paizo's production schedule has a 6 month lead time. If they keep waiting for WotC, they won't have time to produce anything for GenCon.

The site is up now. No, WotC banner at the top of the page, so I guess they didn't kill Piazo and take thier stuff... yet.

A third recomendation for J1 Entombed with the Pharohs by Michael Kortes! It is an excellent adventure with lots of puzzles and twisted traps as well as a good mix of iconic desert monsters and unique baddies to fight. There's also a rival adventuring party thrown in there to up the ante...

to sum up... To add to what was posted above, I'll quote myself from a previous thread... Paizo has not seen the 4E rules or GSL yet, so they have no made a decision on going 4E or staying 3.5

They were too busy producing Dungeon and Dragon magazines. That being said, it has not been decided if Paizo is switching to 4E (since they still have not seen the rules or the GSL) and it's looking more and more like the third AP (The Second Darkness) may be 3.5

I'm sure they've based their decisions on more than vocal messageboard demands and requests - you know, with stuff like sales figures and market forcasts and whatnot... :p

Many of the things they have introduced or changed over the last six months - gezateers, hardback campiagn setting, AP specific minis, player-related material, etc. - has been in reaction to numerous requests from fans, so I'm hoping it will be successful, since it was asked for again and again.
