D&D 5E [IC] Against the Slavelords

Quellathe cursed silently when the orcs heard them. Focusing on one of the orcs, she spoke a word in English and fired twice quickly. Initiative (with advantage due to Bow of Warning): Initiative (w/advantage due to bow of warning): 1D20+3 = [16]+3 = 19 1D20+3 = [6]+3 = 9 bonus action to...

D&D 5E [OCC] Against the Slavelords PBP

Q's initial plan is to snipe at the orcs she can see from L11, using the sleeping poison arrows for starters. If Levanna has ranged attacks she can use, Q will try to stick by her to offer what protection she can (including partial cover), even if that means moving in somewhat closer after the...

Quellathe shook her head at the dwarf's impulsiveness, and winced at the sound his armor made. making sure the hood of her cloak was on securely, she pulled out her bow, nocked an arrow, and signaled Naeris to come with her down the tunnel, walking as quietly and smoothly as she could Stealth...

Went back to check Quellathe's sheet in the Rogue's gallery to remind myself what feats/abilities she had related to archery and discovered I've been forgetting to add her archery fighting style bonus to her attack rolls. ARRGH! At least I'll remember this time! I've also corrected her sheet...

D&D 5E Tips for starting up an AL style gaming night?

As I noted in another thread (looking for adventure suggestions) I'm planning on leading DnD game nights at our local library this summer. Here's a summary of my current plan: -One night a week, 3 hours maximum (Hard stop at library closing) -New to DnD players will be required to use pregen...

D&D 5E Best Adventures for AL style game nights for new players and DMs

I'm planning on trying to start a DnD night at our local library this summer, and I'm looking for suggestions on the best adventures to use. I'll be the primary DM; I have some experience, but not a lot. If we have enough people for more than one table, the other potential DMs have less...

Quellathe rested her hand on Naeris' head, a comfort to them both. Neither liked being in confined spaces or the stench. "If Kelvyn finds more foes, we should tread carefully, for I know we are not all at full power. I still have a pouch of dust that can make at least some of us invisible...

D&D 5E Advice on downtime feat training

Found the thread: [url]http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?477298-Downtime-Training-for-Feats[\url] Turns out I suggested tripling the skill rules myself (oh fickle memory!) but you might find the rest of the discussion helpful. Sent from my iPhone using EN World

D&D 5E Advice on downtime feat training

I asked a similar question quite a while back. I'm on the enworld app at the moment and not sure how to find the link to it, but I do remember that one suggestion I got pointed me to the rules for using downtown to train for skills and pointed out that the "skilled" fear gives you three skills...

    D&D 5E DM Guild Recommendations

I would second the Spell Cheat Sheets. They've been invaluable for me and my table as well. Of the adventures I've purchased/downloaded and had a chance to (partially) run, I've most liked Cave of the Missing.

After Quellathe finished binding her wounds and tending to Naeris, she turned to Kelvyn "Is that Drow sleeping poison I see? It could come in handy if we run into more problems. It certainly seems effective." Quellathe glanced briefly at Tirion, performing his ritual and blushed with shame...

24 hours is better than I was hoping for. IIRC, by the book most poisons applied to weapons dissipate in a few minutes at most, which always seemed a bit odd to me since the NPCs who use poisoned weapons don't seem to have to follow that rule. Sent from my iPhone using EN World mobile app

Sounds good. Quellathe doesn't need a cloak, as she has a cloak of elvenkind already, but she would find a vial of the sleep poison handy. Can it be applied ahead of time or does it evaporate? Sent from my iPhone using EN World mobile app

D&D 5E [OCC] Against the Slavelords PBP

I thought about Lucky, since my rolls have been pretty poor, and considered sharp shooter, in part because I'd originally envisioned her primarily as a ranged weapon expert. But I have the same reservations about the -5 as TallIan. Ended up deciding on Dual Wielder. Gives Q an AC bump in...

Quellathe raised an eyebrow at the apology, but nodded. "I agree. We should not tarry long, but I think we have to tend our wounds before we move. I presume, Tirion that you are preparing for a spell that will help in that regard? As significant as our injuries are, perhaps my healing kit...

Thanks to Naeris' warning, Quellathe sees the Drow escaping. For all that she is hesitant to send Naeris into danger, she realizes he may be seeking more help. With a command she send Naeris after the Drow. Then she grabs a vial from her pouch and quickly swallows the healing potion...

D&D 5E [IC] Against the Slavelords

Quellathe fought hard not to cry out under the flurry of blows that the dwarf rained down upon her. Calling out to Naeris to help her, she spoke a word in elvish and the scimitar in her right hand began to vibrate subtly, she then attacked the dwarf with both scimitars. Cash booming blade and...
