Tha's a really good price you got there. I could afford a $200 one, but didn't find any for this price! Another thing is that I'm in Brazil, so there is shipping and probably taxes :( EDIT: And congrats on your players! Mine never chip in, they cheap out.

Even if I just display a portion of the map at each time and scroll it as they go further?

    Tabletop Projection

Jeez, that REALLY won't do, then... But that's weird all over, because these "pico" projectors are meant to be used on small conferences and stuff, which usually don't take place in blackout enviroments (at least the one's this lawier has been to). If what D'karr is really correct, this kinda...

Hey all, thanks a lot fro replying! As said, I'm a bit on a low budget now. This one caught my eye: http://www.pureprojectors.com/projectors/manufacturers/pos/innoio_innocube_ ic100 It is 15 lumens though, so I was wondering how dark would the room have to be so I could achieve a playable...

    Tabletop Projection

Hey guys! I've been on the mood to acquire a small projector to enhance the gameplay experience, but budget's a little tight right now. I've seen a couple "mini projectors" on e-bay, and some of them can make a image up to 6 foot, and I think that's more than enough. But I am at loss which one...

Thanks a lot fro replying guys. I'm really glad to hear this! I'm finishing reading the feats right now. There are really many rules to learn, and I forgot most of them, since it's been a while since I played 3.5. I'm starting fresh new, really. My players also don't retain much 3.5 knowledge...

Ok, I'm really sorry about the major thread bump, but you've been the most friendly, unbiased and informative crowd so far, and this thread's been a really healthy discussion. I got the Core Rulebook and the Bestiary, and I'm loving it so far. It's exacly what I was looking for, and I'm very...

    D&D Miniatures alternative.

By quality I meant "same production standards, resulting in similar final product". Or cheap plastic miniatures. The Reaper ones are really good looking, but the price is a bit steep. I had 120 miniatures right now, and that was only possible because D&D minis has really awesome prices. I'm...

    D&D Miniatures alternative.

I still have some doubts about the issue: they're not releasing new series or ceasing the production completely? What I mean by "alternative" is another company that produces minis, similar in quality and price. EDIT: Those reaper minis look neat. Kinda expensive, but their quality is awesome too.

    D&D Miniatures alternative.

Now that WotC made the (disappointing) decision to no longer produce D&D miniatures, I wonder if there is any other alternative, similar in quality and price. Anyone knows? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the tip TheAuldGrump! (and all of you who responded!) I started this thread as a 4e DM looking for some colour in my games. 4e is an excelent system, very well supported and really fun to play. I won't stop playing it and, in no way I think it is a heresy to enjoy both (and other)...

I did play quite a bit of 3.x, but never DM'd it properly. How does the prep work go? I read it's the most painful part, but I don't see it, since you have the Bestiary at hands with 350+ monsters in it.

I was about to explode for some fluff when I had the (stupid) idea to buy FR 4e. Worst-buy-ever. Not only the world seems really dull, the book feels incomplete and it seems like I would have to ready every-single-FR-product-ever-released to even understand what the setting is all about! I'm...

Thanks a lot for replying! I'm really excited about it too, can't wait for my books to get here (ordered them at bookdepository.com, I hope the post them soon!)! I've got a question, about the "default" campaign setting (Golarion, right?). Is it not avaiable in print anymore? I searched...

Well, I got them. It's been a while since I've been bugged but some 4e traits and I wanna try it out. I got the Core Rulebook and the Bestiary. I'm really hoping to get what I'm looking for, and based on my research, i'm gonna like this! I shall continue to play 4e, it's a good system and I...

Sure, but the dead levels and the lack of show off skills to the fighter, for example, were a real mood killer. There you are, swinging your sword while the mage is blasting worlds with a little stick. I'm almost sure about getting it, just need to wait for my payment ^_^

Awesome info man, thanks a lot! That's something I really wanted to know, if all classes were equally fun to play through all levels! I'm thinking about importing the books. It'll be much cheaper and worth the buy. I can get the Core book, the Monsters book and the APG for the price of one book...

Is it a really big improvement in comparison to 3.5? I remember a big complaint was that the martial classes were hack'n'slash machines, and I wonder if that was fixed. One thing I really liked about the "old" D&D is that every class had it's own "peculiarities" (sp?), and 4e kinda took it...

Hi all! I'm a long time lurker, and I always enjoyed this forums, so I decided to post after all. First of all, I'm brazillian, so excuse my grammar mistakes ^_^ I'm currently a D&D 4e DM, and even though I love the system, some things I loved about D&D got lost in it. For example, the fact...
