    Vampire of a Different Humor

The bile suckers could have barbs on their wrist, like dew claws or a platypus barb. Or you could just leave it as a bite attack. It may illicit some interesting reactions to describe the undead horror leaping at a PCs stomach...

    Guns!!

Well, the bullets are made of lead, so you'll never divine the one that hits you. :) This does bring a pricing questions to mind. How much would it cost to apply an Anti magic Field to a weapon, so it could cut through all spells? You also seem to be missing shotguns. Say 30' range, 2d6, 20/3.

    Stoneskin debate

I would say that by RAW, the caveat of "this spell ends after absorbing 150 points of damage..." overrides the way normal DR works. So, yes, if you have 1 point remaining, you effectively have DR 1. Its the same as any other spell that discharges under certain conditions.

    Slashing Fury - PHB II

Might not be bad for a sneaky git rogue who gets the drop on someone. Depends on your fighting style.

Seeking dry erase board with one-inch grid

You can use an acrylic cover like this to also use blown up maps, detailed tiles, or PDF maps without messing them up. If these don't come with a grid, you can add one to the underside of the acrylic sheet.

    Magical Plants and Fruit

I was going to add a clan of vampires in part of the world I run my game in. They have created a breed of apple tree that has blood like sap, that they use to sustain themselves quietly amongst a human population.

Tell us about The Book of Unremitting Horror

I would have to dig it out to talk about a non modern setting, but I loved the book. It is one of the few that has some creepiness to it. Even if you needed to modify it hevily, its worth the work. *goes digging*

    suggestions for an orc wedding?

The male gives his sword to the female during the ceremony, to show that he looks upon here as a equal. This may not fit a game with LSD clouds, though... And as far as death being lucky during the wedding, just hold the sacrifices then. ;)

Size Small Caster--Benefit, Detriment, or Neutral?

In one campaign I have a Gnome Wizard, with a Halfling Cleric. Our mount is the large Half-dragon Barbarian. In combat movement is a non issue, and extra combat movement is taken care of by teleports, DDoors, and Shadow Walks. Small size isn't a big advantage or disadvantage for us, its just flavor.

Stupid High Skill Checks and Saves

My group can be very loose with the rules at times, so this has come up. Remember that those who make the spot checks must still warn the other PCs, and they may still not see the ambush. i.e. DM calls for a spot check. PC1 makes it, PC 2-4 does not. Suprise round. PC 1 is not flat footed...

4 player 1st level character standard vs. 1 4th level character

Have them take the leadership feat. This gives them a cohort, which will help in the high end combats. You will also be able to use low level NPCs to take strategic points, while at the same time forcing the PC to look after the lower end troops. Imagine keep on the borderlands if one PC led a...

Fighting a colossus -- from 'cool' to 'holy f***ing s*** that was AWESOME!" - how to?

Make it a series of hazards that the PCs have to traverse to gain access to the control room. This is where the last battle will occur. The BBEG has to take a move action to move the beast, and a standard action to attack. In short, any action the PCs force the BBEG to take against them, equals...

    An amusing thought

Evil! I like! This could also make a decent escape plan. Cast it below you and rise with it as a free action. Could grant cover, maybe even improved cover, and cost no actions on your part for the move.

Augment Healing with wands and scrolls

I would say he would if he crafted the item, yes, no matter who uses it. If not, then no. RAW wise, I would have to say no in all occasions, but I am a sucker for letting things slide a little if it costs you a feat.
