    You could always go with "As you pick up the item, the sounds you hear quiet, and the lights seem to dim expectantly." Atmosphere. If the PCs just don't get it (very likely - those tests are vague) then you could have the character 'get a feeling' of what needs to be done as he/she/it picks up...

    Sneak attack with TWF?

    So, simple question, and yet I didn't find anything on this in my readthroughs of the PHB. With a rogue using TWF, is sneak attack damage counted for each hit? (As in, rogue catches enemy flatfooted, hits with both attacks - do you add sneak attack damage to both or only once?)

    It is better planned out, agreed, and could be useful for plot purposes. I will give it that. :) But still... whisking the PCs away when they're about to die, unless there's a perfectly valid reason (plot, again), just smacks of GM trickery to me - my players would murder me if I tried something...
