Yeah, that would be the best result from releasing a dozen such monsters as a free supplement. If it will demonstrate some success, I may convince some publisher that the idea worth trying. Thanks for replies and support %) The next step should be a tricky monster, to test this design's limits...

    Visual description of bulette

Thanks for replies %) For that idea you should thank 4E monster manual. Bulette is one of monsters that really _are_ superior in 4E, comparing to previous editions. It burrows at speed of 6 squares tripping PCs on the way, it bursts from the ground in eruption of rocks, and when it's bloodied...

This is my third attempt to make visual, easy-to-grasp description of monster, now with core 3.5 monster - the bulette. Well, actually, I have no strength to comment this after all this work... So, the picture: Wait, that's not all! See bonus comic strips about bulette's feats and leaps. I...

Thanks for a detailed opinion %) although seems like you're the only person who likes the mixed layout of flavor and statistics blocks. With the next monster I'll try to place them less chaotically, to justify them around borders... You're right about undead immunities and nightmares' effect on...

Another way to describe a monster

So, another try with different monster. Now with flavor text and frames. But - I couldn't place information is the same order as in standard layout. But maybe I could use _this_ layout for other monsters as well... (The monster is from "Legends & Lairs: Necromantic Lore" by Fantasy Flight...

Another way to describe a monster

Nay, fortunately, I don't have wild dreams of reworking all existing or future 3.5 supplement for this design %) Although I think that we'll see something like this in 2012 or so in 5th edition, especially if "D&D Insider" will be profitable for Wizards. Of course, main reason why I've done...
