Spider Man is Dead! Long Live Spider Man?

That is idiotic. I wish Marvel Studios (or whatever their movie company is called) had control of this license.

Kirby Kids sue Marvel for Copyright

    Ha! Also nice!

Kirby Kids sue Marvel for Copyright

That's what I was thinking. I'm not sure how their council thinks they are going to be able to pull this off. Thanks for the link.

Kirby Kids sue Marvel for Copyright

Any chance you could link to the article? At any rate, I don't see this having any legs. Kirby didn't create most of those characters on his own, and I think they've already been through this rights issue before (which was part of his disgruntlement with Marvel, IIRC). We'll have to see, I...

    [Trailer] The A-Team

Haha, that looks inexplicably awesome! It seems like they don't make a lot of straight-up action movies nowadays. There's something in this trailer that recalls the heyday of action flicks back in the 80's. I hope that the movie actually has that quality to it.

Are the Dune sequels worth reading?

Crikey, there's more? How many of these books have they done? I picked up the first four a few months ago. This thread is re-affirming my decision to stop there.

    Avatar: Shoot Me Now

I got the impression that this was a private para-military force (like Blackwater) rather than the military of any particular government.

    Star Wars:The Clone Wars...

I thought the episode with the zombie Ghenoshians (or whatever they're called) was genuinely creepy.

    Rate Avatar (James Cameron)

I really enjoyed it. Visually it was jaw-dropping. The plot was very familiar but still executed skillfully. Like Roger Ebert said, at least there is one person in Hollywood who knows what to do with 300 million dollars.

    Avatar: Shoot Me Now

This movie is visually amazing. As others have mentioned the story isn't going to win points for originality, but it was decent enough to not be distracting from the strengths of the movie (like in Transformers 2). I highly recommend it.

    Star Wars:The Clone Wars...

I've been watching it. I'm still not a huge fan of the character designs, but the environments and starships look amazing. The storyline has been surprisingly good. They give a fair amount of character to the clones and it really pays off. They also don't dumb it down or downplay the violence...

    Sherlock Holmes (2009 version)

For a second I thought that, in your game, the works of Shakespeare we all know were really translated Klingon plays (rather than Shakespeare translated to Klingon and back to English). That would have been fantastic.

    Hobbit Casting

Not sure if you`re making with the funny on this one or not (if you are, well done), but I`m thinking Peter Jackson paired with the Hobbit is about as much of a sure thing as you can get in Hollywood.

    Hobbit Casting

PJ is producing. Guillermo del Toro is directing both flicks. PJ and New Line sorted things out (I think the pressure of potentially losing the rights to the Hobbit made things move along quickly).
