    Superior Implements -

No need for my next question then as i had assumed it was a feat bonus w/ the Superior Implement - Accuracy Feat. thanks!

    Superior Implements -

I was wondering if the Accurate Superior Implement Feat +1 bonus TH stacked with Implement (or Versatile Implement) Feat(s) +1 TH bonus? I don't have my books with me so so i'm not sure if the bonus is a feat bonus TH for either or if it's an untyped bonus. Another question likely to follow...

Thrown Weapon Seeker with nothing to throw...

the post was originally about the thrown weapon selection for the seeker class beeing poor. the Marauder Ranger build has more thrown weapon options and is more of what i expected the thrown weapon seeker build to be, namely a class the melee'd well but had a good ranged power base as well...

Monks & Weapons & Powers, oh my

Don't forget how huge the new feat Versatile Expertise is for a Monk. I'm playing a lvl 1 Githzerai Monk using a spear so i can take advantage of the Pointed Step Feat at lvl 2. Versatile Expertise basically allows me to get a +1 TH w/ my Spear and/or Ki Focus attacks since my Spear is my Ki...

Thrown Weapon Seeker with nothing to throw...

It has come to my attention that new Marauder Ranger build from MP2 seems to be everything i had expected the Thrown Weapon Seeker build to be. Pair the Marauder Ranger build with a Minotaur class and you have a throwing and charging menace. Not to mention that shear amount of weapons...

Thrown Weapon Seeker with nothing to throw...

You guys have all posted some great points of discussion. i apprecaite the way this thread really took off. i guess my problem still lays in the fact that in order to use the thrown weapon powers as melee powers, you have to use a light or heavy thrown weapon of which there are only 2 base...

Thrown Weapon Seeker with nothing to throw...

Does it seem strange to others that the only weapons a Thrown Weapon Seeker build can throw are Daggers and Javelins? Not to mention all the pretty pictures they give us of Elf Seekers dual-wielding throwing axes and tossing them at enemies. I find it really hard to justify forcing a class to...

    more monk questions: staffs, clubs

not to thread-jack this...but what does RAW and RAI mean? i see it a lot and assume it's a common accronym, but can't figure it out. thanks.

Do Monks benefit from basic weapon properties?

Does a monk wielding a basic weapon gain the basic weapon benefits from that weapon? For example, a monk wielding a spear, which i believe is a versatile weapon, would they gain +1 dmg to their attacks if wielding their spear in both hands? Same goes for other properties, like brutal and reach...

Sick of Monk questions yet? Here's one more...

seems like VE is the no-brainer way to go here. my plan was to use a spear so i could take the pointed step style feat. so i'll choose Spear and Ki Focus and take advantage of what is essentially a double feat. exciting.

Sick of Monk questions yet? Here's one more...

could somebody post the Versatile Expertise Feat description? i don't have my book handy and am curious how that reads specifically. thx.

Sick of Monk questions yet? Here's one more...

If i wanted to take the Expertise feat, which expertise feat should i take? My Monk wields a Spear, so would i take the Weapon Expertise - Spear feat or the Implement Expertise - Ki Focus feat? I'm assuming the CB isn't fully intergrated w/ the monk yet because no matter which feat i...

Flurry of Blows and Headmans Chop

I might be wrong on this since i don't know what Headman's Chop does...but i am pretty sure that as a Monk, you're not actually "hitting" w/ your halberd or any weapon per se. All your powers are implement powers, therefore at most you're conveying your energy (read dmg) to the mob via touch...

    Timing of Flurry of Blows

seems like something you could build a homebrew feat around ;)

Acrobatic Stunts and Running Long Jumps in Combat

Thanks all for the comments. I agree that Monks still have plenty of movement flavor. Open the Gates of Battle is one of my favorite Monk powers at lvl 1 (cause they have so many :)). I will definately be adding the Five Storms power to my arsenal as well seeing as shifting 2 squares is...

Acrobatic Stunts and Running Long Jumps in Combat

well, i must admit that this is disappointing and slightly deflating regarding the movement abilities of the Monk. i wasn't really aware that "tumble" was specifically removed from 4e. i'll have to look into the utility power...but that's 5 lvls away >_<.

    Timing of Flurry of Blows

You are 100% correct. I totally missed that fact that it's a triggered power. My fault, sorry if i confused anybody.

Acrobatic Stunts and Running Long Jumps in Combat

We just started a new LFR campaign and i am playing a Monk that is trained in Acrobatics and Athletics. My thought with him is to be able to tumble or long jump into and out of combat situations while NOT provoking OA's against himself. Not to mention, the Monk at-will Crane's Wing's allow you...

    Timing of Flurry of Blows

I'd like to add that as a Free Action, you could use your Flurry of Blows power on a creature clear across the BF as well if you wanted. Let's say your attack kills your target. You could then take your move action and use your Flurry of Blows power against a target as far away as you can move...
