Defense against Shadow Dancers Shadow !!

I still argue that you can't dispel people's familiars/companions whether wizard or shadowdancer. They can't be hedged out by protection any more than gensai or other native outsiders. Conjuration spells are supposed to be what summoned/conjured mean. Protection spells protect against summoned...

Defense against Shadow Dancers Shadow !!

Shadowdancer's shadows are neither summoned nor conjured. They are the same as the wizard's familiar and the paladin's mount. Sunburst and sunbeam are my votes for best offense. Protection from negative energy is another defense. Ghost touch weapons will let a fighter quickly dispatch a shadow.

There are no separate pools of PSPs. Read the section on multiclass psion/pw.

    Running away

Its called a double move or a 5' step. You need to have open space to do your double move. Being faster helps in running away.

    Body Adjustment?

I thought vigor gave 1 hp not 18. I haven't looked at psionics recently though. Even better than CLW wand is the wand of divine healing which heals 450 damage flat, as long as everyone worships the same diety. Almost nothing a psion/warrior can do is abusive. Almost. This example is a...

    improved intiative on weapons

Notice how the word base is never used throughout QSF? Some prereqs are saves of 12+, this leaves some doubt as to whether they meant to say base since 12 is the highest base saves go at level 20. I wonder when the 3 MB of errata for QSF will be ready or if they ever intend to fix the errors...

    Ultimate Guide to Ambiguous/Problem Rules

12: The rule on DR is that creatures can bypass DR as if its natural weapons were equal to its DR. "-" does not overcome any DR, nor is it overcome by anything. If the designers had meant +6, then they would have said +6. 13: Let the weapon bypass the DR of any evil creature. Either it makes no...

    improved intiative on weapons

The people at Mongoose decided to add double improved initiative as a feat. This was generally regarded as unwise.

What are the most powerful prestige classes?

Iron Will as a fighter feat isn't bad. Its way better than endurance. You can pretty much top out at 8 levels of Singh Rager. The last 2 levels don't give you that much. Every level of Singh Rager is 2 levels of barbarian like you said. You could be a paladin, rager, templar, windrider, divine...

    Raise the bones!

Game definition of armor is armor bonus, max dex, check penalty and spell failure chance. Since bonemail has none of these characteristics it is not armor for any game definition.

    Ultimate Guide to Ambiguous/Problem Rules

For most terms there are standard language meaning and there are defined game term meanings. In defined game terms, armor has 4 characteristics, armor bonus, max dex, check penalty and arcane spell failure chance. "-" is a suffient response for some of those categories. In general language...

    Ultimate Guide to Ambiguous/Problem Rules

3: Windrider is in Master of the Wild. See examples of the windrider in sultans of smack and best PrC threads. 11: I would not consider helmets armor for purposes of monks because they have no characteristics of armor and take the hat slot. 21: The sage was asked if a spell did 21 damage and...

    Sultans of Smack

An increase = a bonus Bonus is a defined game term in the back of the PHB The Sage clarified that temporary was a category of bonus in addition to the many listed in the DMG and is non-stacking (since all bonuses are non-stacking unless spefically noted that they stack.) The text for...

    Outsider PC?

Yeah, I had an aasimar paladin. You want fighter, templar and divine champion as supplements. If you like mounts, get some levels of windrider because paladin mounts don't even come close. Just take knowledge (nature) cross class and you'll qualify for windrider by level 5. You need 12 int...

Suggestions on Barbarian/Sorc going to Dragon Disciple

I'm doing that character right now. 2 barb/2 fig/1 rng/1 sor/3 rage. I want to get up to 4th level spells before I go DD. I won't be large until 18th level but I'll have 10d6 fireballs and powerful fire walls. I can't find any really good 4th level damage spells. 20d4 is about as good as it...

    The Quintessential Fighter

I don't feel the need to review the points already covered in Alan Kohler's reviews but I do have some things to add. I want to explain why I gave this book a 3 when it seems like everything I'm going to say about the book is bad. Alan's review covers the good and everything he says is true...
