    Familiars could also be a "wizard's tool" like the Staff, Wand, and Orb. I think a Talent Tree would be best, a few Feats here and there, and NO XP loss when fido is ganked.

    That is a good start. Buffer is always good, mix a little Summoning in, and you can impact the battlefield. as an aside, you cannot take Quicken Spell as you are a spontaneous caster, but Rapid spell should be looked at.

    I allow it It requires 2 feats to even get it officially, and odds are Extra Turning will be picked up. The earliest level to get any use of it is 12th level, more than likely 15th. If a Player wants to expend 7 turns, which is allot, let him. It is his resources.

    It is a very good system Their are supplements out to show how to run Golden Age, Agent Level(think SHIELD), and in a couple of months, Dark and Gritty. You only have to worry about 1 die roll. You should give it a shot.

    character scars

    I presume the 14th fighter I play is scarred like crazy. never died, but I have stabilized at -9hp more times than is healthy. I call it ding-dong ditch death's door. Regeneration can remove scars. If it can regrow a limb or kidney, scars are nothing.
