Can't say that I've lost any to the list above. I occasionally lose them to much more esoteric things like family, girlfreinds, and marrariage.

I have players roll and if it's not what would be half of their hit die they get that. so a cleric that rolled a 2 will be considered as though they rolled a 4. I find this makes it to where they are never weak but they can be strong. I also use this system when making most npcs to challenge...

they listen every time you spend money. Not to be a cynic but there will be no AD&D there will be no randomless minis because there is no money in it (at least not compared to other products). Now to the poster who said once people get tired of prestige classes and feats we'll see 4th edition...

OOH they're giving us rules for making races. how qaint. When will the deign to finally come up with balanced rules for making classes. Who really needs the umpteenth book of prestige classes because really how many prestige classes do you ever get a chance to actually play :mad:

Or you could go semi classic with a twist and have them go forth and save the PRINCE. Actually a freind of mine started a game with the classic save the princess but then it turned out the princess was a shapeshifter that killed the king. So this was classic with a twist all the way.

years ago many more than I care to count my freinds introduced me to D&D. I remember thinking you want me to read all of this. It was the basic D&D book and I thought they were just crazy. Now I have to force myself to read something else :)

Okay I came in late is this to be elimnated because your trying to determine which feat is the best or eliminated because it is the best and is therefore broken? Or is this to determine what is the most popular? :confused:

<Dagnabbit! I forgot to include options for preferring PrCs over core classes and for preferring other groups of core classes to replace those from the PH (like Arcana Evolved).> I definately would've voted this way had this been an option.

generally I don't ever get around to playing at the sorts of levels where this even comes into effect. However I've been running reverse dungeon for my players and I had to learn how to play high level very quickly. I really had problems because I wanted to fight the pc's (who were Monsters)...

I don't understand the mentality of those who do limit ladies at the game table. I hope I never do. :D

couple more votes for the excel character generator and the message boards. I also recommend hero maker. I create pictures with it and then port them over to the generator and we have nicer character sheets than those in the original book :confused: (not better art though but better than I...

I think Crothian said it best after you've explained it for the umpteenth time it's just rude. They don't have to learn the rules but you don't neccessarily have to provide toilet paper at your house either. btw I chose 3 doesn't have to buy should

this looks like such a good thread I'm going to save it for later :)

just some thoughts on things to include. put all the defensive abilities on one part of the card and all offensive on another part of the card and whatever you do please put the hps at the bottom of the card with enough space for marking them down if you could

after looking over some of the other posts I'm feeling pretty focused. BESM planescape (although I'm working on changing that) gurps
