    Basic Attacks

That’s my question as well. This edition gives you awesome powers, why not use them? I guarantee that your enemies will.

    Concerning buying D&D 4th Edition

It must suck not having an awesome FLGS nearby. (Nearby is a relative term, the store I consider my FLGS is a forty minute drive for me. That fact alone should tell you how I feel about the store.)

Should I cancel amazon pre order and order from buy.com?

Wasn’t buy.com the online store that was also shipping the last Harry Potter book early?

    Necromancer Feats

The Corpsecrafter feat that lets your destroyed undead minions explode for negative energy damage makes low level undead great at every level. “What was that Mr. Beefy McGreaterCleave, you aren’t scared of a horde of skeletons? Well, go right ahead and wade into my undead legion!”

    WH40K Dark Heresy

From what I understand Black Industries sold out within the first few hours. I know that the Borders in Lee’s Summit had one the last time I was there, but that was a few weeks ago. I’ve heard that getting a second printing of Dark Heresy out is one of the first things on FF’s to-do list.

Are you going to buy an EXTRA copy of the PHB?

I have a set of the books on order with the FLGS, but I don’t see myself getting a second copy. I usually only buy table copies of games I intend to run.

    Dungeons of Dread...disappointing

Out of twelve Giants of legend boosters I got seven Fiendish T. rexes. After that seventh one I stopped buying DDMs altogether. How big of a “sample size” would I have needed to get a complete set of the huge minis from that set?

Any Good FLGSes in Kansas City?

I was in Monte's Monday looking for a a few books to plug holes in my collection. I actually found a copy of greyspace!

Any Good FLGSes in Kansas City?

I'm not sure of any in KC (especially near the Plaza), the one I go to is in Lee's Summit, and it has a Huge gaming area in the back. I think it has amazing customer service (I live in Parkville and I consider it my FLGS if that's any indication of what I think of the place.) The name of the...

    My group is TOO BIG

My Spelljammer game topped out at nine, and I’ll never DM a group that large again.

How often do you use traps?

I’ve always found that the players in my game don’t check for traps until they set one off, then everything slows to a crawl as they check every single 10foot square they come across to make sure that it doesn’t happen again.

    D&D 3E/3.5 Will you still play 3.5?

I’ll always play in a game one of my friends are running, regardless of setting, ruleset or edition. I’m not running one right now, but I have plans in the works for a campaign that I would prefer to run in 3.5e (I have a few issues with the 4e preview rules that I don’t think will mesh well...

Who still doesn't have a horse in this race?

I’ve basically already paid for it (FLGS ran a preorder special) and I’ve already told my group that I would play. But there are a few fiddly things that I’ve seen that make me wary of running it, so I’m holding my judgment on that until my group’s playtest after we have the books.

Brainstorming: Need a big nasty for "Bad Moon Waning"

Without looking at the adventure, I would assume that with a name like “bad moon rising” the big monster should be some awesome (in both senses of the word) werewolf variant.

Alternate Gaming History - What If?

I’ve played the game once. The “pimp-tonite” card is the only one I can remember off hand that I actually laughed when it was played.

your Your explanation for the Eladrin is great.

D&D 4E Going/Not Going to 4E which edition did you start with?

I started with 3.5, and as far as running games, I’m going to stick with 3.5. I’ve not seen any major problem in the games that I run that would require an entire retool of the system. I follow the 4e news because I’m interested in where they are taking the game, and I’ve told the other people...

    Black Industries to close

My friend Nick was the first person in line at Gencon to make sure he got a copy. As far as I know, he's the only person in North America to have a Rod of Ruin card for the game.

Can you solve this mystery? (My players stay out!)

    So if we number the symbols the outer line looks like this (if I haven't goofed up) 123 4536748 9 (10)94 123 2(11)248 9 51(17)6(10) (12)2(10)3(13)(14)39 The Middle looks like 483 (15)(16)(17)(20)4 4536(18)3 (16)2(10)(16)(18)(16)(18)(16)(19)(10)3 and the third looks like 83(17)3 6(16)3(20)...
