No, but buffing your buddies in combat will take 2 rounds in which you party Wizard can't cast. If you do it precautiously, you will spend a lot more than you actually need. Better to rely on something permanent.

In case you didn't know: The Mage Armor from a Wand does only last 1 hour. So you have to expend 24 Charges per character per day to make it last all day. ;) I think Bracers of Armor for the Monk or Wild Armor for the Druid is obviously the better choice.

Well, if you want to be the party faceman, I wouldn't advise the dwarf due to the Charisma penatly. It also doesn't help your casting ability. Both Halfling and Gnome are solid choices, the gnome even more so because of Favored class: Bard and possible Paragon levels. To be the party mouthpiece...

Well, it depends on the creature type. I also wouldn't allow a snake to wear anything at all, but a Black Bear wearing a Fang Amulet of Natural Armor would look cool, won't he? ;) And Birds even wear rings nowadays. :D

I don't know how you could misinterpret the ability description. It works explicitly like a Dominate Person spell of 12th caster level. So no, it does not effect a Warforged.

Yep, that's the way to do it. Much healthier anyway, since there is an artery running through the armpit and getting pieced there or even having the entire arm ripped off is a very, very fatal thing. ;)

I never had GMW abuse issuses in my party up until now, but if this ever poses a problem it should be no problem to exclude GMW from stacking with itself.
