    Prestige Classes and Multiclass restrictions

Our DM has made 1 concession to allow a Monk to take a prestige class without losing the ability to advance in monk. The Tattood Monk. I mean come on, the prestige class has the word "Monk" in it's name for crying out loud.

Druids and fighters- wildshape and all sorts of fun

Hey thanks Sidus. Yes, my character does exactly that in combat. He uses his animal companion (a constrictor snake) to help with flanking. Plus if the snake happens to grapple someone, it works well to. Also, the Evasion at level 2 is very useful and since it is an extraordinary ability, he...

Star Wars d20: Starship weapons against personnel targets.

Alot of systems use a Mega-Damage system whereby pesonal weapons deal a "normal damage" and heavy weapons like a tank's main gun deal "mega-damage" They also use armor and "mega-armor". Basically a pistol deals so much damage. I personal wearing a flak vest would negate some of that damage...

Druids and fighters- wildshape and all sorts of fun

Warshaper? Nature's Warrior? I have a Druid 6/Rogue 3 and I thinking of taking Master of many forms class levels. I never heard of these other prestige classes though. What book(s) do they come from?

    Item Creation feats

Off topic but I saw it again on this thread. What the heck does RAW mean? I have been able to decipher other acroymns like (IMO: In my opinion, OMG: Oh My God), but I still don't have a clue what RAW stands for. The best I came up with is Regular Adventure World. I doubt I'm right but its...

    Item Creation feats

Well if you used that logic, then protection is not only existant in a ring. You have enchancement bonuses to armor and shields, plus you have bracers of protection. I'm not saying that's a bad idea, in fact I could see the usefulness of it. Only, it wouldn't apply to "protection" items (at...

    Small boost to Fighters.

Well we figured the uniqueness of fighters it that they get all of those extra feats. Weapon Specialization only adds +2 to damage so it isn't incredibly powerful. The feats that are have a TON of pre-requisites in which only a Fighter could would be able to get at a reasonably low-level. So...

    Small boost to Fighters.

A little of topic but: We never actually figured out why only a 4th level Fighter could take Weapon Specialization. I mean, why not a Ranger, or even a Paladin? Our group kinda "ignored" this requirement and instead allowed anyone to take it as long as they had weapon forcus and a BA 4+. We...

    Item Creation feats

I am trying to plan-ahead and figure out which feats I want for my character. I was considering an Item-creation feat (not Scribe Scroll) like Forge Ring, for example. I was simply trying to consider the advantages of taking such a feat. I mean, sure you can make your own stuff (maybe even...

Anyone got a good Fighter/Mage build?

I'm not familiar with the Eldritch Knight's abilities but the biggest problem a Fighter/Mage is they can't effectively cast spells when wearing armor (especially the heavier types). Our party has a sorcerer whose player wanted to be a better fighter. So she began taking levels in Spellsword...

    Quick multiclass question

Sounds right to me (just in case you needed a second opinion).

Anti-Magic / Dead Magic Areas / True Sight and Supernatural Albilities

Just in case nobody else mentioned it.... In the quintessential Druid book, there is a feat that allows a Druid to maintain its wild shape form even while its is an anti-magic field. Prerequistes: Con 15+ Benefits: Don't recall exact details, but you make a Concentration check every round...

    Stronghearted Halfling

Gee, my character would probably be insulted by that. In any case TMI, TMI!

    Animal companions

Unfortunately for me, since I have a snake, it doesn't seem possible for my animal companion to wear anything. No arms: no bracers. No legs: no boots No neck (no shoulders): no necklace No fingers: no rings And armor would just slide off it. Unless someone else can think of a way for a...

    Animal companions

True. Of course, my character is a halfing, so its speed is the same as his companion. Granted the party is hindered a little, but not directly by the companion. I have acquired some boots of Striding and Springing (+10 ft to move) which helps me and not the snake. However a dire snake has...

    Stronghearted Halfling

I personally took a Deep Halfing. Its like a regular halfing except it doesn't get +2 to Listen and Spot checks. In return, it gains Darkvision 60ft, Dwarven as a free language, and the "Stonecutting" Drawven ability. Its like a cross between a Halfing and a Dwarf. (Found in the Monster...

    Animal companions

Normally it wouldn't since the feat can't increase my effective druid level beyond my character level. But since I also have 3 levels of Rogue, I can do this.

    Animal companions

True that is a drawback. But as an animal improves, if hits HD ever go beyond a number divisible by 4, it gets another Ability point (just like levels of a PC). That said, you could add +1 to Int (as long as it doesn't increase it beyond 2). This would give another 3 tricks for the animal in...

    Animal companions

Since we are talking animal companion choices, my character currently has a constrictor snake and I plan to upgrade to a dire snake (min Druid lvl 10+). After taking the Natural Bond feat (Complete Adventurer), I can get one at only Level 7! That thing is nasty: improved grab (Large or...

    Animal companions

I tend to look at the advancement chart for the companion. If it is able to increase in size, then its good to stick with it. If not, get a new one. But I agree that bigger is generally better.
