    Alternatives to At-Will Magic

3* + [caster level / 3] + ability mod? (Rounded down.) That's what I've been using for 3.5 (I use a lot of little house rules; the kinds of things that won't break anything :)), so it should work for Pathfinder too. * 5 for Sorcerers.

Which 3rd Edition books are the best?

I never really bought up big, but I think the Tome of Battle: Book of Nine Swords is key, along with Unearthed Arcana. Monster Manual II, as well. All I want is the game to run smoothly, and things to be balanced enough to get by. Another poster pointed the way to Trailblazer, which I am...

D&D 3E/3.5 Assumed magic items for 3e characters

Yes, reading about the "Big Six" was my most recent encounter with the idea, and the one that really opened my eyes to the fact that the entire system's balance (such as it is, some might say!) relies upon specific magic items being used by PCs, according to level. D&D 3.0 might have been a...

D&D 3E/3.5 Assumed magic items for 3e characters

By level, what are they? From levels 1 to 20, what magic items do the rest of the rules more or less rely upon PCs possessing (class by class, I suppose)?

    D&D 1E 1e Play Report

3e has been much maligned for a number of years now, by those who either have not read the 3e books, or have read them, but have (for whatever reason) forgotten or ignored those parts not fitting their pet theories. So too, in the 3e core books (all three of them). About that... Just one of many...

    Have I Been Bitten by a Were-Grognard?

I have been warned that one might be bitten (and subesquently turned, if deemed worthy) by Grogsfenardu, while visiting these realms. The situation is worse even than I had thought...

    Skyrim challenge!

The best thing would be to use a different system. Failing that, perhaps the DM could remove "favoured class" altogether, and hence, allow for truly limitless multiclassing. Then again, some extra advantages for those who do so (multiclass like mad, that is) might need to be added on, as well...

Pathfinder 1E Is Paizo the new Palladium? (It isn't!)

Paizo is perhaps the new WotC (circa 2000) ... ? And the current WotC, well, they might be the new GW. ;)

    Skills List?

I might be a little wary of adding more skills, if only because some players will be forced to allocate up to twice as many skill points to achieve what might end up being more or less the same thing during play. And skill points are in short supply, for all too many PCs...

    Disguise self ftw!

Illusion magic is my favouritest magic ever. It seems the most fundamentally magical of all, and yes, also provides the greatest potential for ingenuity and playful mischief and mayhem. Come Level 3 (or 4), Minor Image! Yesss...

Why do you like Fantasy RPGs?

Because I love fantasy in general, and have since I was a kid. Fantasy novels, movies, computer games, RPGs; I love them all.

    Skills List?

The Realms Helps site has lists of rules from (nearly?) all 3rd edition sources. Here is the skills list: Skills Index Interrogation could be seen as a combination of existing skill uses, perhaps? Interpretation is key.
