    Whatever happened to Necromancer Games?

How would it be incredibly stupid? Why bite the hands that feed you? Ah, you've just listed the problem with Copyright right there in that paragraph. You've just said, not exactly, that Copyright grants a Monopoly over distribution. Dude.

    Whatever happened to Necromancer Games?

Actually, WotC can make more money if it did give up control of its house system. I think they should pass 4e completely into the public domain and do what they always do. I'm fine with Eberron and Forgotten Realms (and Dark Sun) locked up in Intellectual Monopolies for a while. But the basic...

Has WoTC announced any ebooks yet?

That's great! I'd be happy to buy into the technology. Unfortunately -- my pals at QuestionCopyright.org calls it the iBad for a reason.

The Return of "Basic" and "Advanced" D&D?

knowing my girl, she'd pick me up a copy of Basic 4th Ed for my birthday. Knowing Wizards of the Coast's GSL, however, I don't think I'll be writing for 4e. Ah, but one of the best things about the Creative Commons license I'm using, you can adapt what I write to 4e. ;)

    Free RPG Day

Looks great. But I think, as an up and coming Artist who's making everyone his distributors, it's always FREE RPG day! Thank god for the Computers and the Internet. B-)

Exactly, Silverblade! :) I was defending Poser, Vue, and other 3D art apps. Thanks for clarifying my point for me! Isn't debate wonderful?

Oh boy! Prepare to be enlightened! First of all, Nina Paley's great videos shows the value of free culture. Note that these has been release with a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike license 3.0 U.S. Created by Nina Paley. Copying is not Theft All work is derivative.:) All Creative...

This PDF cover has to be seen...

I think it would be much more cruel if Copyright were abolished. Then the Audience votes with their dollars on a product. If the product is bad, it's value never increases. But if its a great product, then its value often shoots through the roof over the years. Which is one of the bad things...

Has WoTC announced any ebooks yet?

I hope they bring old products back after they pulled them. But I'm skeptical and still angry at them for it. I figured I'd better do something about it so I've officially joined the Free Culture movement. But I'm actually happy that they released some of their fiction. :)

The World of Galatea -- FREE CULTURE

Hi everyone, After being incredibly disgusted with Intellectual Monopolies held by Wizards of the Coast and other companies (you know who you are and you know who they are) I have been hard looking at the Creative Commons movement. After a while, and a lot of hot feelings at what Wizards of...

    A solution to Piracy--Navy SEALS!

There isn't a way to stop online pirating. You can DISCOURAGE it, but you can't stop it. Besides, that, I believe WotC should go POD.

What Would Happen If (Almost) Nobody Paid for RPGs?

    1. Wizards of the Coast 2. Palladium Books 3. Other companies that screw their customers over but I can't remember the names of. Palladium Books have practically alienated themselves from the fans at the beginning of the decade. WotC have alienated themselves from most of their fans in 2007.

Forked Thread: marketing 4e (was 10:1 downloads)

Forked from: 10:1 illegal downloads Actually, I am a D&D player. I'm one of those "6 million." But I never bought a copy of 4e. Reasons: 1. Wizards failed to appeal to me and my buying power. I never saw any advertising of 4e. How it was better than 3.5 Edition, or what it did, or how...

WotC president Greg Leeds and I!!!

I think they should produce 5e. but only after extensive marketing research on what the D&D player *is*, what they want, their current age, what they want out of 5th edition, and what would help them play D&D both on-line and at the table. I do believe that marketing 4e as they have didn't...
