    Still playing Skyrim?

I'd actually like to fire it up and play it again (even in the midst of my Borderlands 2 killing sprees) but, you see, I'm an idiot. My Xbox died a few months back. With Skyrim in the tray. Like the idiot I am, I replaced my Xbox, and tossed the old one in the trash. Without ever getting my...

    Looper [spoilers]

    Oh yeah. Agreed.

    Looper [spoilers]

I think it was implied by Jeff Daniels's character, that killing the younger Looper would be too much a change from the established timeline/future history. If he's kept alive, that man would still exist in the future, and while it would certainly result in changes, they'd be relatively minor...

    [October] What are you reading?

Almost done with Dies the Fire, and then I'm on to one of a couple of Phillip K. Dick stories that I got on Amazon for my Kindle Fire last week. Amazon was selling a number of PKD's books at $1.99 a piece, so I snagged up The Simulacra, The Man in the High Castle, and The Three Stigmata of...

    A New Online Game Table

I stand corrected then. I honestly can't say I bother keeping up on all the different online game tables out there, so I just saw the resemblance and use of Java as the delivery platform and found the coincidence strange. Thanks for setting me straight.

    A New Online Game Table

This oddly resembles the canceled D&D Virtual Game Table. Coincidence? Something more sinister? ;)

    Pathfinder 1E Good Halloween Adventure

In previous years, I've converted old AD&D 2e Ravenloft modules to Pathfinder and run them for my group as one-offs. My original idea was to take them through the 6 modules of the Grand Conjunction, 1 each Halloween, but gave up on that really quickly. This year, I'm not even GM'ing. One of...

    [October] What are you reading?

Oh, absolutely. It's readily apparent that Grant/McGuire did more than her fair share of research into virology and pathology before diving into the books, and there's so, so, so much more to the storyline than "zombies rise, humanity fights back and tries to preserve what normalcy it can."...

    [September] What are you playing?

Borderlands 2. I played the ever-loving crap out of the first game, both single- and multi-player, and I'm already deeply hooked on B2. And I hate FPS games, as a general rule.

    Personality Type

I said INTJ, but I've come up as an INFJ before as well. I've always felt my scoring was close enough to be a decent gauge of my personality.

Finished The Ten. Guess I'll read Little Brother, by Corey Doctorow next.

New TV Season - Revolution 2012.Sep.17

Definitely saw the influence of The Postman. Definitely a little Emberverse in there, too. Not sure what I thought of it - right now I'm feeling awfully "meh". The lead actress just doesn't seem to have the screen presence to keep me caring about her and her troubles. Everyone is a...

Pathfinder 1E Stabbing eyes, slicing off hands, and fun stuff like that

Well, like I said, coup-de-grace already requires a helpless opponent. A victim at 0 hp or fewer would certain fit the requirements for it. I don't know of any PF rules specifically governing dismemberment or organ removal, but I think likening it to a coup-de-grace would be close enough for...

Pathfinder 1E Stabbing eyes, slicing off hands, and fun stuff like that

Well, if it's an action that you're thinking requires the victim to be 0 HP or less, then why not just make it require a coup-de-grace action or use the same mechanic? Full-round action, results in the eye being dug out.

GMs: What (across all editions) was your favorite adventure to RUN?

I honestly haven't run a large number of modules, but of those I have, I think Paizo's Free RPG Day item two years back is my absolute favorite. I positively ADORE "We Be Goblins!" and would run it any time, any place, for anyone. My players and I giggled our way through it, loving every...

Evolution of your game - minis, markers and whatnot

When we started playing in the days of AD&D 2e, we used literally nothing. No pawns, no paper, nothing. Mostly because we were poor high school kids who barely had enough money to share books, much less own minis. We just played "theatre-of-the-mind" style, and it was good enough for us...

    Cool battle map/terrain set-ups

I built a multi-level kobold warren that filled the interior of a large crag and was topped by a dragon's lair out of cardboard and Gaming Paper for my party back in our early days of 4e. A lot of carboard, a lot of guide-wire, and a lot of Gaming Paper. but in the end it was pretty cool...

Pathfinder 1E Armor as Damage Reduction

Never done it myself, but Paizo apparently figured someone would want to, since it's right there in the SRD. Armor as Damage Reduction
