    6 Sword Fighter

My last mage carried a bastard sword with a wand reliquary in the handle that he kept a wand of fireball in. Point sword, say word, fireball shoots out from tip of sword...legendary?

Role-playing help - Stupid, Uncharismatic but Wise

It's a shame you chose to play a cleric of war, because this guy would make an awesome druid. relying on instinct and 'common sense', getting on better with the beasts due to his magic making communication with them actually work.

Suggestions on reworking a Dragon encounter.

And then there is Enlarge. Enlarge Person is a 1st level spell, so lets say our mystery cavern owner has the 2nd or 3rd level Enlarge Monster spell handy to cast on his medium Dragon to make it a much scarier encounter...

Using and Abusing the Item Creation rules

I've been tooling around with the Item Creation rules for a while (blame my current lack of a game) and I wanted to get some opinions on a few toys I came up with. Infinite Wand (Craft Wondrous Item, Craft Wand) Spell Effect, Command Word - Spell Level x Caster level x 1800gp Limitation...

This DM is regretting let PCs run wild.

Give your next Evil Lieutenant(TM) two magic items and let him grind them down. The items? A Ring of Improved Invisibility, and a fully charged Wand of Summon Monster III. Every round a handful of summoned fiendish creatures appear somewhere near them and attack...very soon they are swamped with...

If you forget about the cantrips, it comes to 87gp 5sp and 7xp and can be completed in a week. Even the full amount only takes 26 days. Really not a hardship...at least compared to the loss a spellbook...

Combat-heavy, only 2 players: seeking advice

These days I always use some of my mages starting cash to pre-hire a couple of "Shield-bearers" to keep watch so i can sleep, a cook to ensure we all actually eat, and a labourer/porter or two to carry my loot out.

    D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5/PF] Help with a feat!

Don't remember where I saw it, but I remember a feat that basically gave the same skill advantage that being human gave you, +4 at 1st level, and +1 point each level thereafter. You had to take it at 1st level though.

Combat-heavy, only 2 players: seeking advice

My only advice for combat: use your scenery. When designing a dungeon, or even using a module, pay attention to your dungeon dressing. The fluff text that describes what the players see. A few years back I played in a 7th Sea swashbuckling campaign, and what we did there carried on to every...

The price of losing your spellbook??

The Spell Mastery feat exists for a reason. It allows the mage to keep a small number of favourite spells permanently in his memory, just in case something happens to the spellbook. I've used various means to avoid this issue while playing, from recording my spell memorisation session onto a...
