I didn't see any mention of this amongst the messages, so just in case it hasn't been said... There was an Alternity-Starcraft game a number of years back. If you can get hold of that, it has some pretty cool stats and info in it. Not d20, of course, but pretty close :)

WOTC (or was it TSR?) released a brief version of a Starcraft RPG about 10 years ago. Did anybody play that?

Hey...just to go off-topic for a second, but...I will be living in London and am looking to join a second gaming group (as player) sometime Jan or Feb 2009. What's the chances of joining? :)

Just had another thought, too, one which I should have mentioned in my original posting, and that is that we have 6 players in our gaming group. 5 of them drive to my house to game, so drinking wouldn't be the best of ideas unless they want to lose their driver's lic...or worse, on their way home.

To be fair, I wouldn't say that these attitudes are prudish - they're just what people prefer. I like a drink as much as most people, but I prefer to game without booze...simple as that. My preference. Your preference is to have a few beers, and that's cool too :) But prudish? I don't...

I also know that in the monthly edition of Previews they have the bestsellers for the previous month (comics, toys, books and games/rpgs)...but I don't have the latest copy with me at the moment. And yes, NOW I'm off to gaming! :P

I must admit, I'm a tad surprised that about 80% of those who have partaken in the poll use a battlemat pretty much every gaming session. Maybe I'm too old school ;) I guess WOTC knew a lot more about people's D&D gaming habits than I did when they designed 4e :p
