    D&D 3E/3.5 Multiple attacks with a 2-handed weapon? 3 or 3.5

Oh, yeah, if you want to keep this out of the player's hands. But if having all options available to both the GM and the party is important to the game, then having the party able to analyze the feat and pick it up later is something needed.

Pathfinder 1E Discussion: Removing Deities & Gods

I would put more emphasis on the druidism style classes, without gods there is little to grant god-given divine magic. I wouldn't even adjust spell levels for cure spells, without the gods looking out for their creations, healing magic is more difficult. But since you don't want to do this here...

    D&D 3E/3.5 Multiple attacks with a 2-handed weapon? 3 or 3.5

If you want to avoid the DM Rank issue, why not have the PCs run into the Smasher Gnolls, and let them make a knowledge check. If they succeed, they learn of the technique and how focused it is on sundering. Then the PCs can take the feat if they meet the pre-reqs. Now you move from DM pulling...

    D&D 3E/3.5 Multiple attacks with a 2-handed weapon? 3 or 3.5

If this is for a specific region, could you make a difficult to acquire feat? For example, make it racial with pre-reqs being power attack, improved sunder, and weapon focus-falchion (or whatever weapon you want). This would let you get the extra attacks (possible with a penalty), and if you...

    New Campaign Conundrum

I think 3.5/Pathfinder E6 would work pretty well. The veterans can have fun with feat intensive build while New players need to learn a lot less and many "trap" feats can still be decent and if the game goes long enough they get enough feats to overcome one poor choice. Eberron is a pretty...

Has there been any sort of Bronze age setting made?

Iron Heroes works pretty well for Bronze Age. The assumptions are little to no civilization, little to no travel, and limited communication from are to area; no magic is another assumption but adding caster classes cane easily fix this. It works pretty well to create city states like in Ancient...

What Does Your Favorite RPG Do Best?

I'm a huge fan of Burning Wheel. The Gold edition is only $25, less if you shop around online, and I really love how it challenges the players. The lifepaths and mechanics really challenge the players to make hard decisions for their characters and throw them into jeopardy to advance skills...

Pathfinder 1E Choice as a quest eliment!

I think the videos would be interesting, but you lose viewers when you go "long" with long being relative to the internet age infinitesimally small attention spans. If you have longer issues, you could always break them up into multiple shorter videos. Say something like "Illusion of choice...

Aspects of D&D that have made you fed up?

I agree, the page count is crazy. 3.5/Pathfinder and 4e are insane with the amount of extra stuff you "need" to play the game. I want this too, but I have a strong feeling the game would end up as a skirmishing game. WotC: "Based on some archaic formula known only to our market research...

Aspects of D&D that have made you fed up?

Most of my issues have been covered, so I'll just list the big one left for me: The division of magic not actually being a division at all. Divine- god powered magic Divine- nature powered magic Arcane- wizard powered/spellbook magic Arcane- something made up so nonwixards can feel like a...

Why do you like to play?

Because it's fun. I would rather play an RPG with a good group than play video games or other leisure time activities.

What setting would you like to see as RPG?

Temeraire would be awesome! I would love to see that setting. The different dragons, uses, and gear. During aerial fights, I think the best way would be to have a player as either the dragon or the captain. In a 4 person party, two captains and two dragons should work. The captains can make...

What setting would you like to see as RPG?

Ever since I was a kid and read the Animorphs books, I thought it would be cool to play as them. Or even just take part in the Yeerks and Anadalite war. Glen Cook's Black Company would be cool. Not only are the characters interesting, I find the setting really cool with the fantastic elements...

    Steampunk Inspiration Sources

A Short Story: The Anatomist's Apprentice- Darker than most steampunk but a very interesting short story. Steampunk Blog: Brass Goggles- it even has az list of links to help out on the right side, just scroll a little bit. Van Helsing- not exactly steam punk but some of the gadgets form the...

    Randomized Hit Points

You could tweak the dice used. For example: D12: 6+d6+ Con mod D10: 4+d6+ Con mod D8: 2+d6+ Con mod D6: 2+d4 or d6+ you get it D4: 2+d2 or d4+ same This can be changed to fit genre. Want more heroic, tough characters- boost the static bonus and shrink the die size;want more less certainty- do...

    Sci-Fi System Recommendations

It is generic, but Savage Worlds is fast and easy. Combat for most extras (non pcs and the mooking types) is either up and fighting, shaken (stunned), or out of the fight. I've played a few games and everyone seems to enjoy the system, but I have never done it outside of a tabletop. Not sure...

Games with opposed dice rolls - are they better, worse or no different?

It can work, lots of games used opposed rolls, even if only for certain actions like hiding vs spot, sense motive vs bluff. If the modifiers to rolls aren't going crazy, it shouldn't be so bad. It is just when it takes a minute to double check the math that things start to bog down. However...

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder, where to start?

Conversion documents are nice, get them. Then go here. I highly recommend books, but for trying the system a free srd is excellent. Plus if you have laptops, tabs are a gamer's best friend.

I'm Sick Of...(D&D tropes that you can do without)

Alignment- I see why it is there. It gives guidelines, it should enable difficult choices. In reality I've seen it more as an excuse for acting like a jerk and ruining other people's fun than anything good. Vancian Casting- Nothing ever frustrates me like this mechanic. Why? Just why are we...

Can a FLGS be TOO friendly?

If the store workers make people feel uncomfortable, then yes they can be too friendly. In this case I find it odd that each employee kept asking you what you were looking for, perhaps the day was slow and they were eager to make a sale or just do something. Or they are working on commission...
