    Assuming they're keeping 1 square is 5 feet (I'm actually not sure about this, but all of my maps are based on this, so I'm house ruling it) that's only 100 feet. If you're taking out dim light at the end of bright light, and making it all bright, I'd say that's about right.

    I think this is either a typo, or the language used for "when reduced to 0 or below." Look in the rest of the book and see if there are any similar abilities with other language. If they all say "When reduced to 0," then it would be safe to assume it triggers when you fall below it.

    That's a cool idea to make profession and perform more useful. I haven't heard of them anywhere else, but it would be a nice house rule to say that 5 ranks in a prof/perf gives you +2 in a different skill.
