    Read #4750 last night

DM UK: They were originally going to be responding by July 3, but they got overwhelmed so they pushed it back to early August. Given the fact that AV is only about half way done and August starts in a little over a week, I wouldn't be surprised if it got pushed back again.

Greatest Villian of All Time (You Decide)

You cannot even begin to talk about evil villians without mentioning one name. A name that towers above the rest. Hitler? Worked for him. O.J.? They're pals. Crop Circles? He's behind them. Of course, I can only mean one person..... Bert, from Sesame Street. Don't believe me? Here's...

    world size

To answer your first question (if you're still interested) the method for finding the surface area of a sphere is 4 pi rr or 4 pi r squared. That will tell you how many miles are on the surface of your sphere. Circumference is like any circle 2 pi r. Hope that helps, Alan

    What a crop circle!

A couple quick things: 1. Obviously crop circles CAN be created by people. They did it for the movie Signs which everyone is talking about. 2. Regardless of who made it or how, that crop circle is just cool! I mean look at it! It's beautiful.:)

    Are alignments relative?

Wow 3 pages, and still going. This is a better response than I'd hoped. But reading some of the responses, I think things are a little off track from my original question IMHO. I will agree that each God/dess judges alignment slightly differently. My point is, God/desses tend to be a vain...

    Could someone please explain (summarize)

Well someone's already answered that yes, OA is based on L5R. As for who owns it, WotC bought it, then, last year, sold it back to AEG. That's why their name is on Gold Edition, the latest release. (I think it's still the most recent). Hope that helps, Alan

    Major WotC Announcement At Origins?

If WotC did sell DnD it might explain the setting search. Hunting for a replacement perhaps?

    Are alignments relative?

Thanks! Once again, I'd like to thank everyone for their responses. They have been quite informative. If I ever do decide to run a two party game with the parties working at odds, I'll have to give some very deep thought to the roles the characters will play and what to do about detect...

[Dangerously OT] Who would you choose?

Well let's see. Not all celebrities are movie stars so.... DM - Gary Gygax (the man invented the game) Fighter - Sarah Michelle Geller (gotta love Buffy) Wizard - Frank Oz (Yoda anyone?) Cleric - Me Rogue - Kevin Smith Barbarian - Ving Rhames (that man can bring the smack down) Bard -...

    Are alignments relative?

Wow! Thanks for all the responses, and so quickly too. To answer a question, no, I'm not in the process of running a game. I play in one, but was thinking about giving a shot at DMing in the future. The thing that got me thinking about this was the thread on having two groups, combined with...

    Are alignments relative?

I have a question for the other folks out there, and it's pretty much there in the title of the thread: Are alignments relative? By this I mean, we all have a concept of what is good and what is evil, but isn't this shaped by the culture we're from? To use an analogy everyone can relate to...

    [OT] WotC being bullies again?

QUOTE: I suppose by the very loosest definition, anything using collectable something could fall under it. It does seem like quite a stretch though. END QUOTE. I'd have said the same thing about the IOC's trademark on "five interlocking rings." But Hasbro lost that fight, and thus L5R got a...

10,000 Hey everyone, I, like many others on this thread, am a first time poster. :) First, I wanted to thank everyone for all their help and suggestions on this board, from the pros to the amatuers like me. Special thanks to AV and PA for taking time out of reading the flood of submissions...
