    Pathfinder 1E Excited About Pathfinder

I agree. It sort of put third edition's evolution into perspective by restating the basics. I found myself looking at my 3.0, 3.5 and various OGL/d20 sourcebooks with renewed interest and a clean mind, like one would come back to a study after opening the windows and letting in some fresh air.

How to respectfuly disagree with EGG?

Wow. Why the stab at me here? You know, I could be insulting too. How about we respect each other and try to understand what each other has to say, instead? How to respectfuly disagree with EGG?

Yeah, because "respect" has an expiry date, didn't you know? :erm: Edit. Just to be clear: I have personally nothing against respectful disagreements and healthy debate. If you can't formulate any opinion about EGG's or Dave's works without questioning their overall skills as game designers...

How to respectfuly disagree with EGG?

Here's an option: you might just not open your mouth and let people who enjoy Gygaxian D&D play and rave about their game(s) and Gary's work. It doesn't threaten your own gaming in any way, does it? Seriously. When someone just passes on, it's bad form to just take a dump on the guy's...

    On the marketing of 4E

This. The marketing failed to draw in people who *liked* 3.5 in the first place. It encouraged them to stay where they were and raised their doubts, to put it mildly. It's a lesson on what *not* to do when marketing a new edition of a very successful game/previous edition. The game itself did...

    Recommend a steamtech RPG.

Space 1889. The blend just works well, and there will soon be a Savage Worlds version available. Etherscope. It's d20 Modern-based. It's Cyberpunk blended to Victoriana. I like the focus on the eugenics, the ether-based cyberspace, the dark alternate history. It sort of puts the "punk" back...
