Chris Perkins' Io9 Interview: Art & A Bit Of Plot (Big Spoilers!)

Forgive my ignorance, but I'm not aware of the process or standards by which some stores become preferred stores. Anyone have knowledge on that topic?

D&D 5E Whimsy in your game?

I would think that a certain amount of whimsy is part of any rpg session. I've been playing for over 30 years, & I can't remember a single session ever that didn't end up erupting into hysterical laughter a half-dozen times or more, whether it was D&D, Teenagers from Outer Space, Star Wars...

Perkins' Foreword From OUT OF THE ABYSS

Perkin's foreword to this adventure gets me that much more excited about getting my hands on it. Really looking forward to this.

    DRAGON+ Issue 3

The link over at Tribality seems to be working now. I just downloaded the pdf. I don't really have time to read the whole thing right now, but I skimmed through it. Looks interesting. Has several new creature stat blocks, including the classic "Giant Two-Headed Goat." :)

The Disclaimer from OUT OF THE ABYSS

That's fantastic. I have absolutely loved the disclaimers at the beginnings of the books.

D&D 5E Theatre of the Mind or Miniatures?

Thanks for the clarification. I'll respond to the poll according to those parameters.

D&D 5E Theatre of the Mind or Miniatures?

Merric- I'm not sure how to reply to the survey. We 100% never use miniatures, but we use paper maps or drawn maps on graph paper with written pencil notations, erasing & rewriting as people move around. I wouldn't really consider that theater of the mind. It's map-based, tactical movement &...

    Emerald Spire 5E conversion?

Hi. I was in Barnes & Noble recently & I came across the Emerald Spire Pathfinder book. I was completely fascinated by it, & I would LOVE to run it in 5E. I'm wondering if anyone knows if someone's done a full 5E conversion. I'm aware that someone over on Tribality posted a few levels that...

Unearthed Arcana Psionics Hits Unearthed Arcana

Prior to these first-draft rules coming out, I was pretty much "meh" on the topic of psionics when I'd hear other people wanting to see them in 5E. However, having read through the first draft, I have to admit I'm intrigued & I'm looking forward to seeing more. I think it's a good first pass...

D&D 5E Is One Year Old!

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! I would LOVE to have all 3 core books in legal, high quality pdf form.

D&D 5E Is One Year Old!

I agree regarding the OGL...I'd like to see that happen. But I guess "overpriced" is a subjective term. I've been very satisfied with what I've gotten out of all the books so far.

D&D 5E Is One Year Old!

Similar situation here. I bought the 5E Starter Box in mid-September 2014, & we got our first play in on September 28. We've gotten a total of 19 sessions in including last night. So we're averaging close to two plays a month, which is about the best I can hope for with my crowded schedule, &...

D&D 5E Is One Year Old!

Mike Mearls Talks (er, Tweets) About the Industry

I don't follow Twitter very often, so I would have been unaware of Mearl's tweets on this topic. This article was very helpful. More like this please!

    DRAGON+ Now Available For Ratings

I haven't publicly expressed any dislike for Dragon+, but I will say that, in my opinion, it's a 2 or 3 out of 10. I very much agree that I shouldn't have much grounds for complaint since it's a free product. But here's my thinking... I would GLADLY pay real money to have a real Dragon...

    D&D 5E Player's Handbook Official Errata

"Wizard, Spellbook: A spellbook doesn't contain cantrips." Does that mean if a Wizard finds a scroll for a cantrip, he can't copy it into his spellbook & learn it?

The 'Wonderland'-Inspired Faces of the RAGE OF DEMONS

I love the art direction & the characterizations. I DO NOT like how that first picture of the purple Kuo-Toa is looking at me.
