    Pathfinder 1E Human Viking Race

I don't think I would have a penalty to Int, Vikings were very crafty, and invented all sorts of things that other cultures didn't. Look at their ship building - they navigated seas earlier then most of the world and shallow rivers with the same boat. They weren't stupid by any means, and really...

Nominate the third inductee into the RPG Hall of Fame!

Ed Greenwood, Erol Otus, Clyde Caldwell, Larry Elmore. Greenwood cause of the Realms and the others all defined D&D in art for the first generation of role players.

    Norwegian jokes on Swedes

Speaking as someone from Minnesota, we don't all sound like that - just like all Californians don't sound like surfers. But yes Sven and Ole jokes are good for such occasions :) I grew up by Brainerd (the town in the movie Fargo) and I never heard anyone talk like them. :)

Wil Wheaton & Chris Pramas in "Tabletop"!

I enjoyed both episodes very much. I really dug the commentary during the game, and even the quick rules write-ups that would flash before combat or skill rolls. It's a great selling point for the game - like one big ad. Would help a lot with picking a new game to run.

D&D 5E D&D Next will succeed or die on the basis of its digital apps.

I understand completely - I just don't think they'll make Next live or die. I'm all for pdf's, and the character builder's and other programs like that. I use them myself, both WotC and Hero Lab's, and I've used my Kindle Fire during character generation loaded with the game book pdf. Heck my...

D&D 5E D&D Next will succeed or die on the basis of its digital apps.

Everybody typing away at their respective laptops/pads certainly take away from the game experience for me. Digital tools would be nothing more then bells and whistles - not needed in the least bit for any rpg to be successful unless it was so complicated you had to use apps. If people want...

D&D 5E D&D Next will succeed or die on the basis of its digital apps.

I'm with Dice, I could care less if there are any digital apps for Next. I don't want any of that stuff at the table while playing - it completely takes away from the game and the experience.

D&D 5E Tracking the Changes with Each Packet

I just read over any pdf with a newer date in the packet. If it has an older date then it's the same as last time. I skip over spells and monsters since I don't need to know that stuff until later.

Jay Little talks dice in Edge of the Empire

It only took a couple of rolls to get the hang of it when we started playing Warhammer, so I'd expect the same from Star Wars. It's a really slick system with lots of possibilities for story involved with the results.

Would you ever watch other people play RPGs, as entertainment?

DA on Table Top was good, and the Wizard's ones are fun to watch as well. I don't so much like the ones filmed over Google+ though. I'd rather see them at the table playing.

WotBS Do you have a copy of WotBS (4E) #6?

    Ahhh That's why I couldn't find it anywhere :)

    Looking for new RPG

There's Realms of Cthulhu for Savage Worlds out now and a Horror Companion due out soon, pdf is already out for it. The Horror Companion is a tool box to create your own settings and stories - tons of cool baddies and neat ideas for a horror game.

    Is Pathfinder outselling D&D?

I like Paizo's stuff alot, Carrion Crown has been awesome so far, but it's hardly fair to compare the two directly right now. Wizard's has had only a few books this year where as Pathfinder has Ultimate Magic, Revised Campaign Book, monthly Pathfinder adventure paths, a few of the Chronicles and...

    Computers, Projectors, and Battle Maps.

My group bought a standard projector and hung it from the ceiling. We project a gridless map down to an erasable battle mat and use mini's and counters. We started about two years ago with it, and our map library has grown considerably. There's a few places online that have maps, plus you can...

    D&D has been cancelled (speculation).

I asked my magic 8-ball and he told me the rights will go back to Gary Gygax, then someone will be shuffling through an old box and find his notes on his ideas for a new edition of D&D, they publish it and everybody loves it! Personally I thought my magic 8-ball was on crack, but he seems to...

Played Basic D&D for the first time in over 20 years last night...

I find myself going back and forth between the options of the newer editions and the simplicity of the older editions. I like Basic Fantasy with the more modern ac rule, and I think the 4E Essentials rules would be the best except I really dislike having to have battle maps, and the speed of...

    Robotech RPG: Old vs. New!?!

First off I'd rent or buy the dvd's - and watch the series - it's awesome. Also there was a line of novels that was based on the series, that went further then the series did. As I recall there were Robotech II The Sentinels books where the series went only the three episodes. Recently there...

Ryan Dancey - D&D in a Death Spiral

Oh I'm sure Nostradamus did predict the complete collapse of rpg's in 2011! :D 4E seems to be doing just fine in my neck of the woods - yeah there are a few people who won't touch it saying it's not D&D, but I'm sure there are those types everywhere.
