    Help with Skill, LA, etc.

Lich is an acquired template available for all humanoids that can creat a phylactery (caster level 11, Create Wonderous Items feat) Lycanthropes are either Humanoid (Shapechanger) or Giant (Shapechanger) depending on the base creature. So as long as the base creature was humanoid then it can be...

Is casting a spell considered a threatening action?

I don't know Charming Gaze but don't think that's relevant. Casting any spell provokes an attack of opportunity, unless you're casting defensively (Concentration DC 10+spell level), not because it isn't threatening but because of the amount of concentration the casting requires making you...

    Dagger whip, mighty whip books

The Whip dagger, Mighty whip, Mighty whip dagger and the Lasher prestige class all did not make it to 3.5. The only conclusions I can think of is that WotC re-considered and wanted the whip to remain a weak weapon. I'm looking myself too, cause I want to make some slavedriver monsters. There...

    Chess based PrC.

If they are like Warforged it should be mentioned that they are Living Constructs, this causes them to loose a lot of a Constructs immunities. If they are like the Inevitables (sentient but not alive) then they only lose their Con scores and keep all immunities. Bard is the second to last word...

    Chess based PrC.

Few things that need clarifying. The class requires being lawful, but also says it is available for Bards. Bards can't be lawful though. Is summoning a chess piece supernatural, spell-like or extraordinary? And this is just a suggestion but maybe set the ability scores to always be the same...

DREAD NECROMANCER and TOMB-TAINTED SOUL feat---what do I do?

Well, out of combat healing can be useful if you just won a fight and are about to bash in a door for the next fight. You wouldn't rest at that point, but free healing (not costing half your daily spells) is very welcome at that point.

    Unseen Servant spell question

Hmm... without any tools breaking a vial isn't that incredibly easy, especially not if its round and closed (if its open it doesn't need to be compressed and that makes it easier). But it's probably something an average person could do given enough time. If I had to pick a number right now...

    Dread Necromancer VS. Cleric

Odd, I remember reading about the Archivist a while ago, maybe I do have it. EDIT: It was here.

    Long(er) range precision damage

Create a feature that allows you to sacrifice sneak attack dice for increased range, and introduce it as a house rule.

    Long(er) range precision damage

    1. It's not stupid, it makes a lot of sense. 2. Never ignore rules. Either follow them, or rewrite them (if you're the DM). Without changing rules for Crossbow Sniper, just taking Rapid Reload could help even the field with handbows. I think Crossbow Sniper is a feat that is needed to balance...

    Dread Necromancer VS. Cleric

Aw.. I don't have that book. And probably one reason Clerics are considered more popular is also because its a core class. So its only compared to the Wizard/Sorcerer, not to prestige classes.

DREAD NECROMANCER and TOMB-TAINTED SOUL feat---what do I do?

This isn't the only one combo for that either. I don't know at what level you can take Dread Necromancer, since I don't have Heroes of Horror. Touch of Healing (Complete Champion, p.62) grants a healing touch infinitely usable on all living creatures, given enough time. Storm Bolt (Complete...

    Chess based PrC.

Use this class when playing Conjurer's Chess (Complete Warrior, page 132-133) for ultimate awesomeness.

    Dread Necromancer VS. Cleric

First of all, Clerics can cast Animate Dead as well, in fact they can at level 5, as opposed to level 7 for Wizards and 8 for Sorcerers. Second, Clerics ability to rebuke undead is powered by Charisma, so high Charisma isn't that bad. And since you won't be dealing out the blows yourself much...

    Unseen Servant spell question

Push a rock, with a Strength of 2? Not likely. Don't forget the servant has to remain close (25ft. + 5ft/2 levels) to you. I don't think you need to make an attack roll to crush something you're holding. A strength check perhaps if it's hard to crush.

Hide and Sneak Attack in plain sight?

Acting innocuous is Bluff, opposed by Sense Motive, the target gets a penalty or bonus depending on any reason of suspecting you, or someone like you. So if you are the only Halfling in the crowd and the target knows theres a Halfling rogue in town causing trouble, he'd get +5 on his check...

    Cleric / Wizard

OH, I see now, I misread it. Btw anyone else experiencing weird color issues on this website recently? At this rate I'll be misreading a lot more soon. EDIT: Found a way to fix it in the options. Odd that the white one was actually called Child of Black. You get caster level 13 at MT level 10...

    Cleric / Wizard

While you can take Skill Focus multiple times, you can't have it apply to the same skill twice. Also not sure what you mean with "for Cleric spells" since Skill Focus applies to skills, not spells, the Concentration skill in this case, which can be used while casting either type spell, or other...

    Cleric / Wizard

The reason why Divination can't be chosen as prohibited school, besides the fact it's considered a weaker domain choice, is that without Divination you can't cast Read Magic, and without Read Magic you can't learn any other spells. This is also why Read Magic is a free known spell for all...

    Cleric / Wizard

To go back to the domains. If the DM is ok with it, all is well of course, but the reason why Clerics of Boccob normally don't have the War domain is not because of their order or choice. It is because Boccob himself does not govern that domain. The DM could of course say Boccob does have the...
