Game of Thrones 3.9 "The Rains of Castamere" (spoiler alert)

    1) Robb had crossbow bolts stuck in him, including 2 in his chest - it was a struggle for him just to stand up, and you expected him to leap over a table at Walder Frey? Sure, maybe if the show was your standard cliche fantasy, he'd have been able to find that last bit of adrenalin to do it...

Game of Thrones 3.9 "The Rains of Castamere" (spoiler alert)

In the books, the reveal did not come until the epilogue of A Storm of Swords, so it could be late in Season 4?

Game of Thrones 3.9 "The Rains of Castamere" (spoiler alert)

Should be an interesting episode tonight. Edmure meets his bride as House Tully prepares to ally itself with House Frey. Meanwhile, Jon faces the toughest test of his life; Bran finds he has a new gift; and Daario and Jorah discuss strategies for taking Yunkai. http://youtu.be/69FD2bp71E4...

D&D 5E Should the next edition of D&D promote more equality?

But, I do think that at over 50 pages, we may have reached this stage by now:

D&D 5E Should the next edition of D&D promote more equality?

This is just my opinion as somebody who has been playing D&D since the last 70s. Since the illustrations/artwork has become less sexual/sexist in nature, especially in regards to "chicks in chainmail," the amount of women in gaming has correspondingly gone up. (not saying the artwork is...

D&D 5E Should the next edition of D&D promote more equality?

in regards to the chainmail bikini - I think if you're playing a lightly armored barbarian woman, then a chainmail or leather bikini is acceptable, just like the bare-chested Conan like figure of a man is the norm for a male barbarian. However, if you're playing a female fighter or paladin...

D&D 5E Should the next edition of D&D promote more equality?

When my old group met some new NPCs for the first time, i would sometimes want to find an image online of what I imagined the NPC to look like to hand out. One was a serious female warrior and when I googled female warriors and a bunch of other iterations, I got tons of women in chainmail or...

D&D 5E Should the next edition of D&D promote more equality?

At least we haven't had anybody call somebody else "Hitler" in this thread. :p Isn't that another internet rule - the longer a thread goes, the more likely it is that somebody is called "Hitler" by another poster?

    D&D 5E D&D on Forbes

I will say +1 on that. Too many rules for 3.5E and too many exceptions/interrupts/reactions in 4E to make it all flow smoothly. I hope more complex rules don't involve 8 or 9 different buffing spells and 7 or 8 different bonuses, etc.

D&D 5E Should the next edition of D&D promote more equality?

But, she still differs a bit from the book Brienne. Several times in the book, Jamie refers to her as a "cow" - implying that's she's bulky as well as tall. Gwendolyn Christie certainly isn't waifish, but I doubt anybody would call her a cow, either. I consider her to be more of a "freak of...

    D&D 5E D&D on Forbes

I thought 4E was "light" when compared with 3.5E, but that's just my DMing style, I guess. However, both 3.5E and 4E suffered (IMHO) from combats that took far too long - especially if you had a large group of players, some of whom were inexperienced, and 3.5E was a bear to prep at higher...
