I was thinking of "pre-written" adventures. We "break" them a lot of ways... - solve problems in untraditional manners - level 1 or 2 characters beating or successfully completing level 4, 5, 6 adventures - find other stuff more interesting than the pre-written story line Even when we roleplay...

How often does your gaming group "break" modules? And when they do, is there any pattern to how/why it happens? I'm a fairly new gamer, but I play with a bunch that have been playing for years... in fact their kids' have been playing for years.... and it seems that every time we play...

Tenkar & Gary, Thanks for the advice. I've picked up a copy of C&C... but just haven't had a chance to give it a go yet! It's interesting to hear how many people are still playing 1st ed. Cheers!

New D&D player. Started in 2006... I find the current version incredibly frustrating to start out. The rules are weighed down with too much baggage. Prefer the 2nd edition games I've played... to 3E. Would love to try a 1st edition game - as I suspect it would be less weighty and even more...
