    Saddest Song Ever

If you've got a good sound system, the first half of Fiddler on the Green by Demons & Wizards is pretty damn haunting with its crushing bass, subued acoustic lead, and sorrowful lyrics.

I'm surprised I'm the first to mention: Dungeons & Dragons Dungeons & Dragons 2: Wrath of the Dragon God :p

    Stephen King’s Dark Tower

I've tried it using d20 Modern in a play-by-post game set in Mid-World. It ended just like how all play-by-post games end, people just slowly posting less frequently. If I were given the opportunity to run a game in the setting again, I'd probably still use d20 Modern, but I would have the...

    Rare Material Components

One of the things I like from Unearthed Arcana and several issues of Dragon was using special material components to add metamagic feats to spells without increasing the level of the spell slot.

Best Ways to Increase the Fame of Your Adventuring Group

Heh, just make sure that the Palladin stops in regularly to have a friendly chat and [Detect Evil[/i].

    OpenRPG d20 Modern Sundays

I'm thinking of GMing a d20 Modern game so that I can get used to the OpenRPG program. I've played in a couple OpenRPG campaigns, and I've regularly DMed each week for the past 8 years. This campaign will mostly be a learning experience for me, and it is an excuse for me to run a campaign I've...

What 3rd level spell should a Vow of Peace/Poverty sorcerer take?

If you've got Spell Compendium and are looking for a good offensive spell, Great Thunderclap is good. It requires one of each saving throw and has the potential to stun, deafen, and/or knock prone creatures that fail saves.

A Questionnaire for DM's to give their Players

I love these types of questionnaires. I typically have a very in depth background for my characters whether the DM asks for it or not. These types of character quizzes are great for getting at the root values of a character.

    soundtracks

Here's a link to the Diablo II soundtrack. Despite the site saying that it is Kingdom Hearts Insider, it has a whole lot of video game soundtracks. Video game soundtracks I recommend: Diablo I and II, Warcraft III, World of Warcraft Planescape:Torment

Zombie Outbreak - where to hide?

Best place to be at the onset of the zombie apocalypse? Out to sea on an aircraft carrier. Why? Guns and ammo? check. Food? check. Plenty of people trained in the use of firearms? MAJOR CHECK. Isolated from millions of zombies? check. Ability to quarantine any localized outbreaks...

    Turn or Rebuke outsiders?

I'm not sure about question 1. However, the answer to question two is: No. In the case of elemental domains (air, earth, fire, and water) Turn/Rebuke Elemental is completely seperate from Turning/Rebuking Undead. Since the FAQ states that Turn/Rebuke Elemental cannot be used in conjunction...

    Wands and low ability scores

Quoth the SRD "Anyone with a spell on his or her spell list knows how to use a spell trigger item that stores that spell. (This is the case even for a character who can’t actually cast spells, such as a 3rd-level paladin.)" Since a 3rd level paladin who can't cast spells yet can use a wand...

D&Disms That Make You Go "Huh?"

    Darkcraft? Fact or Fiction?

Dark craft is not a feat. It is a series of rules for performing a sacrifice to an evil god or fiend in order to gain a substitute for xp and gold spent on things like item creation. It is on pages 26 and 27 of the Book of Vile Darkness.

    Animal Companion feats

I believe you are remembering in the PHB where it tells you that certain animals like warhorses and wardogs are ridden easily into combat, without needing the constant Ride checks to control like regular horses. I don't know of anything that makes any animals proficient in armor by default...

    Animal Companion feats

Shilsen hit it spot on with Armor Proficiency. Because barding can be enchanted just like regular armor, in the short run it can give a good boost to your animal's AC, and in the long run you can add some pretty worthwhile enchantments. Blindfight is a good one for a wolf because it pairs...

Wealth by level and Class Abilities

See, to me, that seems unfair to the character who spent feats on item creation, provided that they pay all costs, including xp which would mean that they start with less xp than the other characters, which usually means that particular character is a lower level.

Don't you just love it when Adventure hooks fall from the sky?

I don't remember if these were his first words, but "There was no way I was gonna walk around this place with my dork hanging out!" is the mantra that gets me through social situations.
