    Lolth

I'm asking for some help from the board members. Lolth did have history written about her in 1e Greyhawk, correct? I don't have any Greyhawk material except for the 3e and the RPGA 3E material. She was a demon lord that became a deity in Greyhawk, correct? I know that she was a deity in FR...

FR: What's up with Lolth? (Spoilers, please)

Yup and some of them just don't bother. :) And from what I've read it's also not very hard to get in touch with Ed if a game designer truly wanted to. I mean look how easy it is to get in touch with him on Candlekeep. :)

FR: What's up with Lolth? (Spoilers, please)

Well to back up Al here partly. There are things Ed has writen that TSR/WOTC has totally ignored over the years. :) So yes some game designers do ignore Ed's words and put thier material in the world over his.

FR: What's up with Lolth? (Spoilers, please)

BTW that above link is my file, which I made from all of Ed's answers on the Candlekeep.com boards in his 2004 thread on the novel boards of that site. And there is clearly 5 or more places in that file where Ed says, "My words are canon unless WOTC or TSR changes them with an in world...

FR: What's up with Lolth? (Spoilers, please)

The novels don't say she's a greater goddess, so three of us agree with that. Also the City of the Spider Queen module ties in with the novels. Or you can get a general summary of up to about novel 3 or 4 in the Player's Guide to Faerun.

Questions about I12 - the Egg of the Phoenix

Radoc (an NPC from that module) also appeared in the Forgotton Realms, since the co-author of that module also wrote The Savage Frontier for FR. And in The North box set it seems he managed to return home.... Or at least he left FR.

    Game Store(s) in Rochester, NY?

Yes. :) But his old store used to be kiddy corner across the parking lot but in the same plaza. Sigh I miss Crazy Egor's old store even though it was small it was packed with material. The new store is large but not as good, in my opinion.

    WotC Summer 05 Product Lists

Champions of Ruin is most likely the Realms sourcebook detailing it's ancient empires that are mostly gone the way of the dodo. Rich Baker has been talking about this book for weeks but he never said what it was called. :)

    Random Encounters

Here's a few questions for you all. How many of you, as DM's, use random encounters, especially when your PC's are in the wilderness? How many of you, as players, know your DM's use random encounters? Do you enjoy them either way? Or do they bore you and make the game dull? Do you, as a DM...
