After checking it does indeed appear to be a faux-italic in the instances where italics are used. todd

It's Democratica, by Emigre. I haven't looked close enough to tell if the italicized versions are faux-italics or if they are actually set, but as far as I know there is no generally available italic version of Democratica. I'll check it out and post in a little while. Emigre.com I don't know...
