    "Perils of GOR" RPG?

That's what I'm talking about! ;) So... if we can ignore the controversial aspects of Norman's ideology for a moment... does anyone have any actual info on the forthcoming RPG itself?

    "Perils of GOR" RPG?

Ye, he is still alive. The 20-something book in the series, "Witness of Gor," was just recently published. I haven't read a lot of Conan books, but I will venture to say that the Gor books are significantly more emphatic about the male dominance/female submission theme. Funny, though, although...

    "Perils of GOR" RPG?

As far as I can tell, the message boards where this thread exists is run by the same web site owned by the people who are responsible for the recent printing of Norman's latest GOR novel, as well as the reprinting of the first several books in the series, complete with Norman's personal...

    "Perils of GOR" RPG?

It seems there is a d20 RPG being developed for John Norman's GOR, which will be marketed under the name "Perils of Gor." Here's a link to a thread with more info. I came across this thread a couple nights ago; this was the first I'd heard of this project. Does anyone here know anything about...

    More reasons to love Monte

Hey Monte, Arcana Unearthed sounds very intriguing and refreshing; I'm looking forward to it. Mark Zug's art is great (both the cover of AU and in general). Will we see any of Mark's work inside the book? What other artists will be doing interior work, and will any (or all) of it be in color...

    (ot) OSU-michigan week

It's a lock. BUT... if Miami is going to trip up at all (which they won't), it will be tomorrow night against Pitt. Win that game, and it's cruise control to a second straight championship. The only real question left is which Cane will take home the Heisman?

    (ot) OSU-michigan week

Haven't seen OSU enough this year to argue over their tough D, but a road game won't mean anything to Miami. They thrive on the road, in hostile stadiums (see last game vs. Tennessee for just the latest example).

    (ot) OSU-michigan week

You poor masochists! Why would any of you want your team to finish #2 in the BCS, when you should know full well the hellacious amount of smack-down the CANES will wreak on any team they play in the Fiesta Bowl??? GO CANES!!!! :)

    1/day is how often, exactly?

Magic Rub, I fail to see how adding an 8hr minimum wait period is any "lamer" than your proposed scenario: For a cleric who prays at 7 AM.... use the ability at 6:59, then again at 7:01, that's ok, but if the first use is at 7:01, then you have to wait a full 24 hours? That ruling seems too...

    1/day is how often, exactly?

I think I agree with this approach, except being able to use a 1/day ability or item 2 times within a time span of a few minutes still bothers me. I'm inclined to play it this way but also rule that a minimum of 8 hours (a normal rest period for most creatures) must pass between any consecutive...

    1/day is how often, exactly?

If a creature has an item or innate ability that is usable 1/day, how exactly do you DMs adjudicate this? Often, it's not a big deal, but we had a situation the other night where the vagueness of this rule smacked us upside our collective heads. The party was attacked in the middle of their...

    What's Your Monster Palette?

My palette is so broad it doesn't really qualify as one, I think. I focus on the Monster Manual, with other critters from assorted other monster supplements strewn about, and occasional use of custom d20 conversions of other creatures from game settings (Talislanta), miniature lines (Rackham's...

    MtG Novels?

Thanks Eternalknight! (I was starting to wonder if anyone read these books at all.) Did you list the novels in order of the story timeline, or is this the chronological order the books were published? And, did any of the novels stand out from the rest (either good or bad)? Same question about...

    Vampire folklore

Thanks, Angelsboi, that was probably more than I needed to know, but interesting nonetheless. Some of the folklore makes more sense now, like the stake through the heart (to keep them trapped in the grave), but the rationale for the whole "can only enter by invitation" concept still seems kind...

    Vampire folklore

Does anyone know the origin of the vampire folklore that a vampire cannot enter a home unless someone first invites them in? My girlfriend asked about this last night while watching Buffy; I knew they required invite, but not why.

Seeking Miami, FL player for 3e D&D

I'm looking to add 1, possibly 2, players to my 3e D&D campaign. The campaign has been running for 2 years; current PC levels are 13-14. Setting is homebrew, but not drastically different than Greyhawk or FR. We play on friday evenings, usually from around 8-12 PM. Location is Brickell area...

For the the past few years, I have played in a FR campaign, and DM-ed my Homebrew campaign.

What did you like about Warhammer Fantasy?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: World of Warhammer Encyclopedia Hi mmadsen, I bought this book a year ago (maybe it's been 2 years already?)and don't regret it one bit. Artistically, I hate Warhammer orks, not crazy on their beserker dwarfs, but there really is a ton of great art in this book...

"The Big Big Book of Feats" by Anubis

Just curious.... has anyone actually calculated what is the minimum possible level a PC (created using PHB & ELH only) could be to qualify for this feat?
