    D&D 4E Looking for a good 4e starter adventure

Check my blog (linked in my sig). Head to the Free Stuff page. There you'll find a starter adventure based off a level 1 delve, but updated and expanded with Essentials content. Let me know what you think.

    Support for older editions?

    That's a spectacularly uncharitable viewpoint!

Good 1st lvl modules for new DMs?

I'm always mentioning this, but seeing as I've only ever had good feedback, I'll carry on! This is a first level delve I wrote using Essentials only kit. It's good for a one off, and easy peasy to run. http://rpgtreehouse.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/return-to-coppernight-hold.pdf

Please suggest an adventure for 1 shot D&D introductory game.

Hi, Thanks! No, its not new. I've been an infrequent poster here and a frequent blogger there! Cheers,

Please suggest an adventure for 1 shot D&D introductory game.

Hi, Yes, all the tiles are from the basic Dungeon set. All the monsters are from the Monster Vault, so they will be in the Compendium too. And your English is fine! Cheers,

    Good RPG Shop in London

I think Orcs Nest has come a long way in recent months to be fair. The staff are pleasant, the selection good, its just a bit cramped. Aside: I'm struggling to find the Rules Compendium in London at the moment, is this any more widespread or was I just unlucky last week?

Please suggest an adventure for 1 shot D&D introductory game.

Hi, I have rewritten Coppernight Hold in light of the Essentials releases. Its 3 encounters, level 1, and contains a puzzle type encounter. Sorry, there are kobolds too! I heavily altered the 'look' of the delve, and have had nothing but positive responses to it so far. Head to my blog at...

Has anyone attempted to gamma world(ize) D&D?

Me too (3? 4?). I had a stab at a basic 4e well before GW came out. It was functional, but I never took it very far. I'd forgotten all about it as I got distracted by Essentials, and this thread brought it all back. I think GW is a genius piece of game design actually, and I'd pay good money...

    Legends and Lore: March 29th

Here's my answer taken from my blog. I stand by it still. I've been asking a lot of questions about companies' approaches to adventure design recently, but I haven't been supplying many of my own answers. Some of that is because I don't really know the answers! However, there's a few...

    ÜMLÄÜT!- the Brainstürming!

Or, you could just play this... Umläut: Game of Metal from Lord of the Pies It's by Rich Stokes, and it, obviously, rocks.

    DDI Monster Builder

With one exception, this builder uses the newer formatting, by action type.

    DDI Monster Builder

No cut and paste either. Not text, or image, means I can't use it to write my own adventures. Which is arse.

New D&D Monster Builder Coming March 22

I've been twitchy all day waiting for this, then realised we're 8 hours ahead here in the UK. The WotC crew are only just finishing their breakfast I reckon. It will be here, and it will be fine.

D&D 4E Epic 4E: We talked to the gods... (Death's Reach)

Yeah, there's a lot of very cool moments in Death's Reach, not least the negotiations with the RQueen (who I played like Neil Gaiman's characterisation of Death) (25 minions didn't trouble my party very much, the wizard has chain lightning which simply eradicates them all in one turn.) My...

Combat as Skill Challenge, with rules!

Hi, pick this apart would you? I'm one of the people who think that skill challenges in 4e are ace. I love them, and slot them into published adventure sessions whenever I can. I do appreciate that they're not for everyone, and it took me a while to get used to them myself. I love them so much...

    The Ultimate Tavern

The original unoriginal beginning to adventure. But what if you did all meet in a tavern, and what if that tavern was the most fantastic place in the world? What would that look like? My plan is to make the ultimate tavern for fantasy worlds. It will be the place to meet patrons, swap stories...

Has Heroes of the fallen lands hit the UK yet?

Picked up Fallen Lands from Orcs Nest earlier today. They had the RC last week. £14.99 though. Cheeky.

    Encouraging Player Curiousity

Try checking this book out. Amazon.com: An Adventurer's Guide to Eberron (D&D Retrospective) (9780786948550): Logan Bonner, Chris Sims: Books It was way overpriced on release but you can pick up good copies for a dollar nowadays. It's very visual and a superb primer to the world. If your...
