Guess the McGuffin in Indy IV!

Not that anyone asked me, but I kind of liked Temple Of Doom when I saw it as a kid, but even by high school, I, well, didn't dislike it, but didn't really have a desire to watch it again. Last Crusade, I loved. I still like that one. Anyway, I was hoping that this Indy would be set in the...

    What Sterotypes do you hate?

And Disney's Aladdin, in which the villain was criticized for being an Arab even though everyone else in the film was, too.

[Sci Fi Channel] "Who Wants To Be A Superhero?"

I'd most want to see a Major Victory movie over Feedback or Fat Momma. As you said, Feedback seems kind of boring. And, Fat Momma, well, it's funny that they ditched MV for his comedy, but it would be hard to do a story of a fat woman who eats donuts and have it be serious. She's basically a...

    Played by Tom Green? :)

Guess the McGuffin in Indy IV!

Hmmm....this is a tough one. It has to be archeological, supernatural, and potentially offensive. Firstly, it will probably be Judeo-Christian since Lucas won't really care about offending Hindus, Buddhists, etc.. Plus, he, like most of Hollywood, doesn't want to offend Muslims, so Islam is...

    What Sterotypes do you hate?

It doesn't even have to be a monster, just any old killer will do. :) Also, I'll add some things from Jabootu's website: The idiot "hero" of the Planet of the Apes remake falls into this category. He disobeyed orders, which led to the ship (or space station or whatever it was) crashing...

    What Sterotypes do you hate?

I agree with that 110%. Also, I hate when an innocent person stumbles across a dead body and either 1.) runs away because he thinks that the police will think he did it, or 2.) a stranger shows up and starts screaming that they saw the person commit the murder. Idiot police are another pet...

    New Thundercats...

Yeah, I was thinking about this as well. I've heard that Loonatics is one of the shows returning when WB and UPN merge into CW, so it must have done well enough. I haven't seen the show, so I can't judge it, but it does look (and sound) pretty bad. As terrible as the new Thundercats...

    New Thundercats...

It sounds like they're bastardizing Thundercats more than anime. :(

    Nero Wolfe

Oh, I forgot to add that you should stick to the Rex Stout books and skip the all the Robert Goldsborough ones except the first, Murder In E Minor. Goldsborough continued the series about 10 years after Stout's last novel. The first one is pretty good, with only a few bits of uncharacteristic...

[Sci Fi Channel] "Who Wants To Be A Superhero?"

I'm a comic fan (and a Spidey fan from way back), but I never picked up on that reference. Then again, it loses something when the garbage can is in a living room. ;) Even that is incredibly dangerous for amateurs. Blindfolded is even worse. You can still hurt yourself pretty bad if you...

    Nero Wolfe

One of the greatest TV shows ever (the pilot, The Doorbell Rang, is probably my favorite movie of all time). The funny thing is that the series wasn't cancelled due to low ratings, but because A&E wanted a "change in direction" with the network. If you recall, this was around the time they...

    Blade the Series

Don't get me wrong, she has a great behind. :) It's just that the "Blade is little more than a cameo in his own series" is a bit too much like the godawful Blade: Trinity (supposedly, characters from that film are going to appear on the series, too). Overall, this show reminds me of that...

    Blade the Series

I gave up after a couple of episodes. I wanted to see Blade kicking ass, not Vampire Soap Opera... EDIT: According to Wikipedia, more than have the viewers lost interest, too:

    Venture Brothers: Victor Echo November

I just want them to release some toys! I need a Master Billy Quizboy, Jonas, Jr., and, of course, Brock Samson! :) Actually, wouldn't it be cool if they could make a Sally Impossible with disappearing skin? You know, it changes in sunlight or hot/cold water. They used to make toys like...

    Garth Marenghi's Darkplace

I had no idea this show even existed until I stumbled upon it Sunday. It's a shame there are only a handful of episodes, because I loved it. I had a good laugh when Marenghi held up the book with the giant crab on the cover. Anyone else ever read Guy N. Smith's crab novels? The writing is...

[Sci Fi Channel] "Who Wants To Be A Superhero?"

This is the first episode I've watched. Normally, I hate reality shows, but this one was pretty good. But what the hell is up with the garbage can? Wow, that makes the show look so cheap. I honestly couldn't believe that the contestants all thought they were going to actually have to walk...

    Looking for trade/graphic novel recommendations

I'd recommend browsing through some of the Marvel Essentials and DC's Spotlight books. If you like classic heroes, you should be able to find something you like. Plus, you can't beat the price for the page count.
