Officially the weirdest thing I have ever read

Icke is an interesting read. His books have some well researched theories and lots of good information on bloodlines and the web of connections among people in power. Unfortunately his reptile theories get the most attention. I guess there are a couple ways you could look at this (not limited...

How many CDs do you own?

I don't expect vinyl to replace CDs commercially, but I like to spin records. Plus the current format for CDs rot after twenty or so years while vinyl will stay fresh as long as you replace your needles and keep it out of moisture. (Well, eventually they'll wear down but many vinyl from five...

How many CDs do you own?

A couple hundred or so but I'm getting rid of most of them soon to switch to vinyl. CDs are a pretty wank format and soon to be a dead one, I think, give or take a decade or two - if that.

    A Scanner Darkly (2006)

Good source material and interesting use of animation. Style reminds me of Linklater's Waking Life. Hopefully Keanu will pull his weight.

Long hair in ghost in asia mythology

I've read that it's common at Japanese funerals for the deceased woman to have her hair let down over her body, hence the ghost with long hair in front of their face a la Ringu. Not sure how true this is though.

What are you reading (May 2005)

Going back to read the appendices of The Teachings of Don Juan since I skipped them the first time around. Real short so I'll probably reread Cosmic Trigger from R.A.W. since it's been awhile and I have an itch.

    Rate Dr Who episode 6

You're might be thinking of Genesis of the Daleks when Tom Baker was told by the Time Lords to go back in Skaro's past to change the Daleks evolution so they're less threatening. It shows the creatures before they are to enter the armor. Also, Remembrance of the Daleks with Sylvester McCoy...

    Recommend some Techno Music

As trancejeremy said, techno actually refers to specific genre. I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but for the sake of recommendation - definately check out the Godfathers of Techno being Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins, Derrick May. Also, one of my favorites, Underground...

    Emiliana Torrini

I own Torrini's Love in the Time of Science. It's pretty good. IMO, something of a cross between Kate Bush and Beth Gibbons in both voice and sound. She's of Icelandic descent if that possibly means anything in reference to a similar voice as Björk.

    Your DND music soundtrack

Sometime I'll use music on low. For medieval fantasy, I have things like the OSTs for Baldur's Gate or IWD as well as other fantasy themed movies. For a specific cultural feel, there's lot of corresponding ethnic music. On a more modern or futuristic tip, lowkey ambient/soundscapes/drone has a...
