Pit Fiend vs Balor....BLOODWAR....who would win ?

I'd say the pit fiend should win. Why? simply because there are a LOT less Pit Fiends than Balors, and if a Balor could take out a Pit Fiend, then the Blood War wouldn't be eternal for too long :) TS

    Mensans, reveal yourselves

In highschool, I wanted to go and take the official test. The next morning, there was a crazy snowstorm and I couldn't make it. It was as well since the test cost like 80$ to take... Also, the night before the test, I dreamt that I had taken the test in a big classroom, and that they were giving...

Lich & Polymorph self (or, "Dropping immunities")

In that case, what happens to a polymorphed lich (ie one that has cast polymorph self, and thus has dropped its immunity to polymorph) that is hit by another polymorph spell? a) Nothing happens, the lich is immuned b) Having dropped its immunity, the lich is affected c) The lich resists the...

[HELP!] Low AC, High Damage group

No need for balancing. With that much damage potential, fights must be over in very few rounds. Ergo, the opponents don't have time to damage the opponents often. TS

If an average Halfling has a 8 Str and weighs 30-35 lbs...

An 18-Str halfling has to be at least 8th level, no? TS

what is the best level for intro players?

I said 2nd. It's like 1st, but you have a little more :). At 3rd, with 2nd level spells, it can get confusing. Also, starting at 2nd, you'll probably level to 3 at the end of the first adventure, and get cool new stuff quickly enough. TS.

what is your preferred period for d+d games?

Voted Frontier/Discovery, but could as easily have been Downslide. In current campaigns I'm participating, there are a lot of apocalypse / post-apocalyptic settings. In one game, the city we're in suffered a terrible earthquake (probably caused by us), in another, the whole land was transformed...
