It is very weird to hear people describe a multi-session game as a 1 shot. Aside from that, lots of folks play once a month (or less). A year long campaign for them is something like 10 sessions with cancellations. I don't think it is fair to call that "not a campaign."

All of that stuff was consistent with the overall tone of BG3. So, in short, yes it did. Does every D&D game need an M rating? probably not.

Savage Worlds can do "mundane" easily, but does require the right mix of campaign rules to get away from its inherent action adventure tone if that's not what you are after. What sort of tone are you aiming for?

I disagree completely. "Personness" is totally unrelated to mechanics.

Whether characters are exceptional has no bearing over whether they are recognizably people.
