D&D (2024) Can A Spell Caster Out Damage a Martial Consistently?

They didn't say per PC. 1500gp at 5th level is to unusual. I don't sell potions in those quantities usually they find a few or buy a small number.

D&D (2024) Can A Spell Caster Out Damage a Martial Consistently?

Think you guys have more loot and gold than I hand out. I sell 1d6 potions of healing at vendors and uncommon items. You seem to do whatever you like in unlimited numbers. Newer players generally though and we don't healing much with spells. Emergency use only.

D&D 5E Drawbacks to Increasing Monster AC Across the Board?

Because it's not grounded in anything g concrete. You have peopke claiming magic items don't belong in the fane because of it. It's not in official product, tge numbers are essentially made up based at best on a comment years ago. ACs fairly low in 5.0 its what made the -5/+10 feats so...

D&D 5E Drawbacks to Increasing Monster AC Across the Board?

Peoiple make a lot of assumptions and double down on the math being wrong. Its not hard to get that 65% up to around 85% via advantage for example. Then people here argue about it when you have used a class feature or Faerie Fire or whatever to achieve it. Its an internet assumption that...

D&D (2024) Rate My Encounters for Level 9 PCs

Party Size will be 6. Running RAW more or less from the 5.5 MM Can tweak as required as it is for Sunday. Backdrop is dead three heretics of the Ebon Triad in Baldurs Gate. PCs have located a Vampire nest and are going in at night time as they have been informed it will be less busy vs a daytime...

D&D 5E Running several combats in a row

Deadly encounters aren't actually that deadly with the numbers multiplier. So depending on level..... Bulk fodder is exactly that.

D&D General grodog's Top 10 Favorite Greyhawk Adventures

I played some older 1E adventures recently. And yeah this. Gygax ones are even worse. Without nostalgia they're not good.

D&D 5E I feel like the surveys gaslit WotC about """"Backwards Compatibility""""

I've got stable groups but they're not really interested in anything else. I can get them to play Dtar Wars generally not going to bother with Numenera or buy another one. I might run something they supply if they all wanted to play ot hypothetically. But personal friends as players they...

D&D 5E I feel like the surveys gaslit WotC about """"Backwards Compatibility""""

Pretty much. I mix up the editions. Occasional Star Wars. I own some others and have played some others eg Paranoia. Functionally impossible to play anything else at least reliably though. Grew up in town of 12k, nowsmall city of 130k ass end of no where.

D&D (2024) Can A Spell Caster Out Damage a Martial Consistently?

Original healer feat I rated very highly in the 6-8 encounters paradigm and two short rests. Turns out most people weren't playing that way. Made the game easy mode. In effect it was 12-15 free potions of healing or close to it per day. Hea L'bot acolyte life domain cleric with healer feat...

D&D 5E I feel like the surveys gaslit WotC about """"Backwards Compatibility""""

Book lay out is better. Overall I think it's better. Biggest problem it's not that different. I suspect I'll be bored with it sooner than 10 years.

D&D 5E I feel like the surveys gaslit WotC about """"Backwards Compatibility""""

Not exactly what I wanted tbh. I was kinda neutral on the 5.5 revision. I didn't ask for it. Generally I think it's better at least for experienced players. Might be worse at attracting new ones though. Much like 3.5 and 3.0 it's a pita mixing and matching. I suspect I'm one of the very...

D&D 5E Drawbacks to Increasing Monster AC Across the Board?

I'm wondering where it comes from. I don't recall WotC mentioning it. I know the average AC in 5.0 is 14.5 in the MM. Hit rates higher than that in practice it's what makes the -5/+10 feats so good. I know 65% is used in online white room theory crafting which is a pointless assumption...

D&D 5E I feel like the surveys gaslit WotC about """"Backwards Compatibility""""

Minimal changes, rule tidy up incorporate errata. Very minor revisions. Cosmetic changes eg new art. Adding more options to a revised PHB. Not rewriting fears, spells and classes to thr extent they did. Deliberately power creeping the old rules out. Feats no longer optional is another...

D&D 5E I feel like the surveys gaslit WotC about """"Backwards Compatibility""""

Not really. A lot of B+ and A tier stuff inn5.0 is now weak to new shiniest. Older weaker stuff is now just that much worse. And a lot now falls into ask the DM as well. Missing archetypes come to mind. Or an older character built around sharpshooter gas been kicked in love spuds. Or things...

Big arcs were swarm war. Legacy books and fate of the Jedi. When the legacy books were the highlight you're in trouble. Cool concepts in all 3 but yeah.
