D&D (2024) Post your homemade feats for 2024:

Sensible Stealth (2024 feat) You ability to hide conforms to common sense expectations and doesn't require flipping to three different sections of a book and arguing over corner cases. This gives you the following benefits: When you take an action to hide, you do not make a check immediately...

(IC) Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden

If you do want to ambush the 3 kobolds, Aric and Lumrolur will make quick work of them – no need to get into initiative or attack rolls, unless you want to. More a question of what you want to do!

    D&D (2024) What's your favorite NEW spell for 5.24e?

👎🏼 It's 4e's Healing Surge but restricted to a spell. Not a fan of this way of integrating Hit Dice expenditure. Magic does enough already. 👎🏼 Better as a core feature because (a) that better supports paladin players who don't want to deal with spells, and (b) if you do want to engage with...

(IC) Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden

GM POST Kr-koa-kwat makes a low throaty sound and blinks at Alma indecisively, glancing up the shaft for a moment. It responds to Alma's telepathic voice in broken Deep Speech, "You drop food thump-thump, happy belly go whump-whump?" Twister watches Kr-koa-kwat then swivels pale blue eyes to...

(IC) Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden

GM POST Aric (in the form of a giant spider) skitters up the western wall with Lumrolur clinging to his furry carapace, climbing onto the wooden platforms above the rest of the party's heads by some 50 feet, near the edge of the dim light radiating from Alma's red-hued light spell. Their...

[OOC] Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden [closed but waitlist is available]

Thanks Steve! Yeah PbP is a lot slower. If other folks agree, I’d be open to leveling up after you face the “cold hearted killer” you’re after? That seems like the right milestone, yeah?

    D&D (2024) You're not planning on getting 2024 D&D? Why is that?

Ah shoot, we're no longer calling it The Remixed One D&D 5.5 or 5.24 Coming in 2024 (but also 2025) Anniversary Edition (but not an edition)? Drat. That really flowed off the tongue.

(IC) Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden

GM POST Brydum exchanges warm handshakes with you, the once sour guard seeming to have grown a fondness for your party... even Zeth who'd slaughtered the Dwarvish language. He receives all the keys you retrieved in the temple, and promises to inform the Dain of your valor. "Farewell. I hope...

    D&D (2024) You're not planning on getting 2024 D&D? Why is that?

I think your example is really interesting - You’re describing an accessibility issue!

D&D 5E Should the Paladin be changed into a more generic half-caster magic knight?

"Should" probably is a marketing question about what most D&D players connect with. For me? I'm over 40 and like the OG paladin. For younger players who are the target audience? My guess is the magic knight trope has more traction than the holy knight.
