D&D (2024) Circle of the Moon Druid Fix

Barbarian: Path of the Wild 3: Beast Form The power of nature allows you to assume the form of an animal when you rage. While in a form, you retain your personality, memories, and ability to speak, and the following rules apply: Game Statistics (same). Your game statistics are replaced by...

D&D (2024) Paladins can Smite on Ranged attacks (with thrown melee weapons) now!

I thought there was something about thrown weapon counting as ranged when they where thrown. Might not be in the new rules.

A few other thoughts. Increase the CR by spending spell slots. Say +1/2 per slot. Make it a Barbarian subclass. Trade away all the spells for more melee damage.

D&D (2024) Circle of the Moon Druid Fix

Suggestion. Keep the 2024 THP, but you revert when you lose your THP. That prevents oddities like an disintegrate on the fly or whatever. It does. You just need to spend some slots. At level 3 you can cure wounds yourself. at 5,: you can turn a spell into wild shape, and bonus action to...

D&D (2024) Grade Knowledge Domain, Green, Yellow, Red?

It let's you cast identity and legend lore without a component cost. it let's you cast arcane eye and synaptic static as a cleric. It's is something no other cleric can do. It's just not something no one class can do.

To get casters to scale more linearly and not exponentially.

Fly + firebolt. Or if your on a team, Forcecage + damage zone.

CME is balanced if your only making 2 attacks per turn. But you can make 15 with a little help (haste). Which is why I lean towards adding "once per turn" to it. And maybe boost the die size to d12. Or heck, "twice per turn."

    D&D (2024) Martial/Caster fix.

Per wish, you don't need to meet any requirements. Though I expect that is the intention. Still, simulacrum + Wish + downtime = 10,000 GP per day and resistance to all damage, and a 90% of a martials damage. Way too powerful even without an infinite army.

Pretty sure you can find a place with snow and not get exhausted in 12 hours. You don't even need magic for that. Also you (or a friend) can make Tiny Hut or a Masion to stay warm. And yea, your not casting it without time anyways. Not until you get Wish.

    D&D (2024) Martial/Caster fix.

Agreed. No DM would allow it. Or rather, I would just have a clone army attack the party first. What's works for PCs also works for players. Doing it on a level 20 rogue is very good. Not an army, but still very much worth the time and money, and in line with intended use of the spell. And...

    D&D (2024) Martial/Caster fix.

It says you can't cast it again. That doesn't stop your clone from casting simulacrum. But I don't see any DM allowing that. And I personally wouldn't allow cloning combat abilities either.

You can by how it's written, but the intention is that you don't. Still intended that you can clone a level 20 rogue though.

Unless they would of spent 12+ hours traveling. Then you can just cast teleport and catch up. Or teleport to a cold climate, make a simulacrum, and teleport back. Most campaigns have some downtime. If not, then you basically banned the spell. "Help us in a coup d'état" is one suggestion.

Wall of force has concentration, but is still overpowered. Mass Suggestion doesn't. You can do both at the same time. Suggest that their boss isn't an ally. Or go stand in a corner while you setup a trap or whatever. Not exactly hard to find a way to kill something with 24 hour duration...

D&D (2024) Can A Spell Caster Out Damage a Martial Consistently?

Maybe now. But original D&D came from wargames, not comics. If you ever played axis and allies, Germany (fighter) starts off with the most units, while American (wizards) has the least but can scale better. And that legacy still influences things (spell slot progression). If you want to do...

D&D (2024) Can A Spell Caster Out Damage a Martial Consistently?

I don't think barbarian players want to spend 12 hours preparing.
