I like Clever’s friend thing for the rests. It’s easy and obvious.

Recover everything on short rests. Recover short rests on a long rest. Limit one long rest per day. Permit using all rests first in the morning for anyone interested in playing a long rest based character idea.

I very much feel a great sense of despair and have resigned myself to the fact that it’s not worth it when it comes to One D&D discussions. And it is not because of anything WoTC has said or done.

Break the feats down into groups of 15 or 20. It’s not possible for people to have a coherent sense of 90 things simultaneously. People are going to get real pedantic about the inability to compare combat and non-combat, caster and martial, etc. so head them off in your initial groupings.
