What worries me is what happens to DnD Beyond?

It's a shame I have to buy two extra books to get this now or have to wait until the full release in May :(

Interesting. I guess do to my time playing Magic: the Gathering I wouldn't really use this comparison because I tend to separate M:tG and D&D even though we now have several M:tG settings published for D&D.

Yeah, it may just be a coincidence but it seems like everything is part of multiverse right now.

We don't know. The gift set was supposed to be a holiday release but got pushed back to January. If I had to guess I think the standalone book was supposed to be due in April and got pushed back to May.

I respectfully disagree. The slipcase was supposed to be the Holiday release. It bothers me and now I have to decide how to proceed. Since, I own everything on DnD Beyond I'll probably still buy it though and that means I'm rewarding them for what I view as crappy business tactics, which just...

This thing is a steal at $30. Its jam packed and replaces the Pathfinder (1E) Beginner Box for best introductory product for me.

It's going to be interesting to see if everything except D&D is a viable business plan. I wish them well. I have some reservations about D&D's VTT future when we get to their 2024 plans so I'm glad to see options.

Leave it to someone on the internet to excise a well articulated point and focus on one small bit of the statement to make their argument.
