    Homebrew A Leveled Up Bestiary

It looks disappointed in my choices.

D&D General "When I DM, I Try to Make Sure to Lay Eyes on Every Roll My Players Make to Confirm It" (a poll)

Yeah.. Honestly he had a lot of other issues that made him no fun to game with. That was just weird though.

D&D General "When I DM, I Try to Make Sure to Lay Eyes on Every Roll My Players Make to Confirm It" (a poll)

Same. Also pointed out bad math to some of my players that have saved them from bad rolls.

D&D General "When I DM, I Try to Make Sure to Lay Eyes on Every Roll My Players Make to Confirm It" (a poll)

I game with my players because they're my friends. Why would I call them friends if I don't trust them? That said there was one person I gamed with whom wasn't my friend that I had 0 trust in his "rolls". He had a known habit of reporting rolls as the lowest possible because for him consatant...

    Level Up (A5E) Kobolds Rogues

You're reading it correctly. If the opponent doesn't do anything to stop the movement then yeah, Sneak Attacks to the groin.

    Level Up (A5E) Kobolds Rogues

And now I'm thinking of the Gnome Titan from Knights of the Dinner Table

Level Up (A5E) DDG -- what would you like a preview of?

So now that I've read all the abilities of the Dungeoneer I'm also imagining a caster that can summon walls (Ice, Iron, or Stone) as means of giving the Dungeoneer the terrain they need and also controlling the monsters as well. Good synergy there.

Level Up (A5E) DDG -- what would you like a preview of?

@Morrus I hope you feel better. Thanks for the preview. This book is looking amazing already.

    D&D 5E "When Starting Up a New Campaign I Always Have a Session #0" (a poll)

So I like to start my players out individually and then have them meet up as a roleplaying opportunity. To do this I try to run a mini solo adventure for each player that gets them to 2nd level before they meet the group. As a result my last 3 campaigns I've had multiple sessions 0's in the...

Blog (A5E) Dungeon Delver's Guide: Let’s Go Shopping

The octopack makes me think of the octokongs from the Dresden Files. I'm excited to see more cultural items

D&D 5E "When I Run D&D 5E, the Arc of the PCs' Adventures is 'Zero to Hero'." (a poll)

I had to vote false. I try to push my player's characters to complete that arc as much as possible, but 5E makes starting players pretty powerful so the "Zero" isn't assured, nor is getting the players to actually achieve the "Hero" part.

D&D 5E Toxicity in the Fandom

I have a friend that had to leave some knitting groups on FB because some of the members were literally being bullied for taking shortcuts or using the wrong patterns. Pick a fanbase and there's toxicity in it somewhere.

D&D 5E "Tactics are an Important Part of D&D" (a poll)

They CAN be, but it depends on the player and the table. D&D combat tactics are fairly watered down, but that's not necessarily a bad thing either. Also tactics can pertain to things outside of combat such as diplomacy, bartering, and politics so it really depends on how much effort the DM...

D&D General DMs - What makes You...

More specifically, what makes you, as a DM, sit down and change a rule? - Primarily fun, but more so if my players and I think the rule makes no sense. For clarification though, If a rule seems to be overbearing unnecessarily or extraneous I'll speak with my players and work out alternatives...

D&D General The Owlbear Druid: How Would You Do It? (A Poll)

Wellllll I mean I would prefer to go with the Shadowcat patron from the Compendium of Forgotten Secrets so my owlbear can stalk dreams and shadows, but we could work out something with a Patron of Monsters ;)

I kinda want to play an owlbear warlock now

D&D General The Owlbear Druid: How Would You Do It? (A Poll)

There's a youtube channel I follow called "Tasting History with Max Miller" (I can't link it since I'm at work and they block youtube) where he recreates ancient recipes from historical documents/cookbooks (sometimes dating back thousands of years). Part of his segment is a history portion where...

D&D General The Owlbear Druid: How Would You Do It? (A Poll)

I've given my players feats in the past that lets them add certain non-beast creatures to their WS repertoire. That option worked well since it allowed more options without having a large innundation of choices that we had to keep track of. It would also be fairly easy to build that same option...
